Hey ,

Good tunes your covering for sure .A few of my ATF's..Im sure ya know that these recordings have ALOT of noise...What kinda sound card /interface are ya using?...Did ya just do one trk on the first 2 ?.I thought the gtr was too hot...The vocals sound better mixed ( more out front) on the analog tune (Amiee), even though the S/N ratio is worse....Yeah , my tunes Ive put up ,thus far , were done on a 4 trk cassette 15 yrs ago and with a good recording software and interface , they sound better than when they were analog...Yeah , let us know what your using like your interface, sound card /rec. software, mics , MP3 formatt,etc...Im new to this also but tryin new things , techniques all the time...

Granted, I'm just computer new I have no idea what your talking about, forgive my ignorance :? The background noise is just that Im in my living room the door is open traffic. birds, neighbors etc.. lol closest I come to knowing about this effort is i plugged in my guitar to the back of the computer and recorded (while singing W/O mic) plugged in mic and recorded V/O I am quite DUH about this issue when I am Playing live I adjust my ratios and qualitiesFX etc. as needed for the location until it sounds right (clean and balanced) so interface conf :? recording software is Reaper (Free version) mic is sure BG3.0,Mp3 format is Ripper from an audio cd I recorded with Cakewalk sonar 3 producers edition

Hey ,

Yeah , when I first started, I didnt give much thought to how I was interfacing..(Preamp-Pluggin in to the computer)...BUT, Ive learned that its a BIG deal..Most of the pros will tell ya that recording on a little 4 trk cassette recorder with GOOD (quiet) preamps and mics will sound better than recording at 24 bit/96 sample rate using cake walk, cool edit or any good software BUT, having a crappy sound card and /or interface...Yeah , pluggin in to an 1/8 in mic plug in the back means you probably have a standard stock sound card which usually isnt very good for recording music...The best thing you can do for yourself if your gonna be into this for the long haul is go to this site and read the guide ...Its VERY thorough and enjoyable to study...Take the test (its pretty long) first ...See how much you know...THEN , study each chapter for a month or so , then take it again....You'll be amazed...You'll learn all the ways to use sound cards , interfaces, mixers for both analog and digital .Also about MIDI...
