Damn Cancer sucks. I hate that sh*t. Jeff was awsome to watch play.
And only 41? Jeez I barely remember 41. Truly a loss to the world of music.

I had no idea who he was, but my wife does (she is a blues fan and lived in Canada for 25 years). She said he was an amazing player.

Great talent.

Really rich blues voice, played rhythm and lead guitar on a standard electric guitar, but flat on his lap like a steel guitar. Just about everyone loved "Angel Eyes" probably his biggest hit, and a touching title, considering he was blind. Dying so young is sad, and he leaves behind some children. Very sad.

Here's the Angel Eyes music video...

This is the real deal with Jeff. I've seen several vids where he gets up and rocks out. He was just other worldly. Off the charts THE man. Thick voice with sick guitar chops. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XqU9RZqvFKY

"girl you're lookin' fine tonight...
and every guy has got you in his sights,
what you're doin' with a clown like me...
is surely one of lifes little mysteries."

loved that song... it got me interested in john hiatt (original author). Healy was a fantastic guitarist. his unusual technique really was no handi-cap for him. what a loss... i had no idea he died. I guess we all have to go some time.
