My friends and I are looking for ideas for a classic rock cover band. The four of us play piano, bass, guitar, and percussion. We can also double on guitar, either both electric, both acoustic, or one of each like in Pinball Wizard. Some of our ideas include Styx, Boston, Queens of the Stone Age, "Saturday night's alright," some Queen songs, and some The Who songs, etc.. Our pianist is probably the most talented of the four of us. With your ideas, please go light on guitar solos. For example, the solo in "Don't Stop Believin'" is easy. So is "Don't stop me now." "Stairway to Heaven" however is a no. Thank you for your input! Just lookin to have a good time and improve our skills! Thanks

You can learn the instrument parts - Stairway to Heaven (boring!) is actually very easy.
The big issue can/could be: what can you sing well? Classic rock cover bands are a dime a dozen around here. You must have a 'classic rock' radio station in your area, just listen to what they play (and repeat) for a couple of days.
Aerosmith
Alice Cooper
Jimi Hendrix
Steve Miller
Beatles
Rolling Stones
Doors
Pink Floyd

Play songs that were hits that your band can sing and play well. Not every song will be a good fit. We usually bring in 5-6 new songs a month and keep the ones that work well in our set. We like to do covers in the style of Joe Cocker, SRV, The Comittments, and others who took a song and made it their own rather than a note-for-note paint-by-numbers thing.

Find the general range of the years of the songs that you guys like to listen to.
.
Look up the TOP TEN for those years.
Learn to play those songs well, and you guys can do good.
