hmmmm. i know what Post cereal is. i understand a B-ball player posting up. i often post here on BM and read other's posts. i used a post hole digger a few yrs ago when i put a fence in.

but i have zero idea what "post rock" is. since R&R (at least the term) came about in the '5o's there's lots of genres and styles that chronologically could be classified "post rock". seems like there might be a better term but we need a label for everything i s'pose.

perhaps i'll check some of the bands you mentioned for a better understanding of this genre. 8)

Exactly. The Beach Boys were post rock. By the time the Beatles crossed the pond, it was all over.

thanks, saladin. i too think that "sounds nice" . in fact....VERY nice, and that's some very tight ensemble playing. are you playing percussion on that stuff?

Probably embarassed that he could't define it either! I hate genre-izing music. My stuff can vay over many different 'name' styles, when someone asked me what type of music I do, I don't like giving an answer, but others are very quick to label their stuff - even if the labels aren't really correct.
