Could it be that you're too old? Not pleasant enough on the eyes? Live too far away? Don't want to rehearse two or three times a week? Don't get out there and hustle enough? Come off as too self absorbed? They don't care for your music? They don't want the band to be about you and your originals? A lot reasons out there some legit. Some are looking to join bands with gigs already lined up. It doesn't have to be personal.

Want form your own band?

The guy who wants to form a band has to be the one to do all the hustling and banging on doors. Most of the time the answer is the same one you hear on this forum all the time. If I want to join a band I go where I can audition. Snag musicians that like what you do at open mikes. If they hear you and like you then you have a chance.

I don't think that good musicians intimidate anyone. I'm a moderately accomplished musician and guys want to jam with me all the time. I would think other musicians would want to work with the best musicians they can find. In my experience a good musician raises the bar of performances, where as bad musicians lower the bar and drag the others down.

I assume this is messages you sent out from this place. Did you check to see how long it had been since they had updated/looked at their profile here (it automaticlaly updates when you sign into BM)? Some people just ignore the email notices they get from this place.
When I was sending out invitations to the open mics I was hosting, a few times I got messages back (some angry) saying 'take me off your mailing list' - after I had been sending invites to them for weeks (with a notice to let me know if they didn't want to get the invites any longer) - obviously they had just ignored the previous messages up to that point.
