It was my lot to sweep the church Saturday last. We'd printed up a bunch of invitations to our 'Living Christmas' presentation and concert to be distributed at the local (John's Creek GA) founder's day parade. It got rained out.
I'm ashamed to admit it but I tend to avoid such events - I'm not doing crowds very well these days and since, well it don't matter - suffice to say I feel very much like a black sheep.
I ended up getting handed a stack of those invites and somehow found myself taking them around the next day to people I have interacted with over the last year - the whole crew at Waffle House swears they are coming, my policeman neighbor is bringing his family and they invited the folks next door (who were out when I came calling) but I got the guys at the auto body shop, the dentist office and the liquor store. (Hey I'm a Lutheran

)
I've been surprised at how well the invite has been received - nary a negative word from anybody. It did me a world of good to hear all the nice things folks had to say about Christmas and Faith.
Merry Christmas folks
