I want a guitar with more than six strings, but I don't want anything that looks newer than an axe in the Woodstock movie (besides the extra strings! Duh!). Also, I don't want active pickups (I'm not really a Swedish death metal kind of guy). I just want clean tone with the lowest bass possible. Anyone here familiar with the little thunder pickup? It's a very promising technology, but I don't think I would put it in my best guitar, until I try it in my cheaper model. The kicksarter video leaves me with more questions than answers. And that's after reading their answers to FAQ's.
