so, I was contacted yesterday by someone who wanted to hire my bluegrass band to play at a memorial service this Friday. it looks like we're all available so we're gonna do it.
funny, this is the second memorial service we're playing this month! both decent paying gigs (and both because they heard us playing at Brooklyn Pizza...my bro-in-law's place).
we'll play 6-8 then it's off to my 9-1 truckstop gig. since we're playing acoustic at the memorial and since my elec gear is already set up at the next gig it won't be a problem.
then two gigs Saturday....afternoon winery gig playing solo gtr then 9-1 truckstop business.
me likes to stay busy!
talking to the banjo player, he quipped "maybe we should change our name to The Grateful Dead".....I replied...."what's wrong w our current name MERE MORTALS? Seems to be working out just fine!"
