It's 1999 technology so I'm pretty impressed with that. And I'm totally satisfied with the end result. Especially when you factor in that I paid $200. I can record 8 simultaneous, fully separated tracks. In order to do computer based recording with that much capability you have to spend what, $1,200? $2,000? And then there is the portability factor. My main piano is upstairs while my drums are downstairs. One power cable, headphones, and the fostex and I'm moved in one trip.
