Hey, 'Needle in a Haystack,'
I didn't want to hijack the 'Intoductions Thread.'
.
I did listen to your music.
.
>"Brand New Day" I was surprised to hear Country Music; don't hear much of that here. And - every part of the song was done with excellence.
It sounds like you guys have a lot of experience. My wife said your sound is kind of like Alan Jackson, or Brooks & Dunn.
>"Lonely Blues" Nice solo guitar work, and good singing. High caliber stuff, and I enjoyed listening to it.
What guage strings do you use - 11s?
.
>"Artist track 5" . . . ummm , uh, well . . . OK. I give up. You'll have to explain this song to me.

Track 5 your guess is as good as mine (Did you wife smack ya when she heard this one)POWW RIGHT IN THE KISSER

As far as knowing what kind of string's Bill used i have'nt got a clue. The guitar he has is a Taco meeny (Hocha kootcha Ahhh hell i dont now how to spell it or play it. Im just a few chord's kinda guy. (OK where did my fingers go? :x )
The band's that iv played in through the year's kept me extreamley busy on the drum's some vocal's no time for learning any thing else. You stay so busy listening and learning from studio musician that can lay it down so clean it's suck's sometime's to be a drummer, but only sometime's like when you have to pack all that stuff around.

 (he think'n shoulda played Harp)

Lonly blues I sang that standing beside's Bills bed while he was sitting at the computer with his guitar in the other room.(he gets on the bed jump's 2 time's BANG hit's head on celing fan)

Im glad you liked it thanks.I was suprised that you enjoyed the country.

Haystack out!

I was surprised to hear that you recorded that at home, but - then, why not? Everyone is allways surprised when they hear that my "Folks I Knew (If You Catch Me Crying) was recorded at home.
Nothing more comfortable for a recording studio, than doing it at home, eh?
I listen to most styles from time to time, so sure, I like C&W.
Not everyone here is a metal head or hard-rocker.
I don't play any C&W (not my style), but I don't mind hearing it from time to time. And, as a musician, I have to respect what's going on in that particular Country song . . . I respect talent when I hear it.
About the only styles that I no longer listen to, ever, are metal, punk, and opera. I quit metal and punk decades ago, after learning and playing a few dozen songs. As for opera - well, never tried playing it, but it makes me cringe . . .
Anyway - - ya done good.

ME ME LAAAA DOEEEEEEEEE( Danm shater the coffee cup!!)
ME TEEE

I never did get a grasp on opera either. Ya that recording at home can't be
beat.Bill had all the stuff i know it took shitload's of memory to do" real time recording" he used Cake Walk thus i know..16 ch. mack.board with something that changed the tracks to digital.and he is BIG on preamps.

I have put myself in so many diff. live situations through the years i have lot's of respect for other styles to.And the funny thing is that i did not even have a clue what i was doing to myself as a musican(oh sorry i just hang out with them)lol
