Identify your problem first. Bands, much like populist politics, NEED to start as a grass-roots operation. Locally. Forget the internetswebz.. your music would have to be a cut above half the already famous bands to even be noticed online. Too much noise online and no filters.
Go to open mics, go to other bands gigs, network. It's all about networking with ANYONE already doing what you want to do. There's no EASY button. Creating and playing the music is the EASY part.
If you want to know why 98.9% of all original bands fail, it's almost always because the band as a whole didn't put in the effort necessary to achieve their goals. You need goals, you need a path to achieving them, and you need to network. Having good tunes and skills helps, but is the farthest thing from your ability to achieve success in the beginning, or even middle. Songwriting and skillz are important once you are successful. Stage performance (engaging the audience) is far more important, but not as important as networking...
