I own a internet biz selling curtains ; shipping to Canada is expensive.
But its the price of doing biz.
USPS has traditionally had postage way too low to meet their expenses
Me thinks you need to reevaluate your business model - if you cant survive without their unrealistically LOW postage than you have a prob ...

Dude - USPS has for decades had way too low postage - thats why they are in that bind they are in.

I am more than surviving the postage increase.. I have been in business peddling probably longer than you are old.. yes, we need to support those excessive USPS employees wages for pushing paper like a 7 dollar an hour clerk..
the greed is insane now.. lot of the problem is because once where there were a hundred car makers or a hundred oil companies now there is a handful and they can name their price like any monopoly can and will do..and another thing, FedEx charges similar rates for package shipment so then why pray tell, is FedEx not going beely up.. get a grip dead gitfiddles

and one more thing, I specifically pointed out the shipping cost increase for 1 OUNCE! packages.. since when does a curtain weight 1 OUNCE?? hmmm.. heavier weighted items went up in cost but not at the rate like packages weighing 12 ounces and less..

All this stuff about rules and regs, and costs... Who has time for all that? Ted, you are in a distinct and profound position I suppose (After 15-20 years of all the crap you had to endure)..

But all these details...Now I see why we need agents managers and promoters... I also see why they don't get rich, and why they have to fleece musicians...
Its the Goldrush and the only money to be made is in sales of the hope and dream for musical distinction...
