General Music Chat

I'm a 34YO average guitarist and bilingual (English/Spanish) singer/songwriter. I can be the lead singer, or I don't mind getting another singer. Looking for Jehovah's Witness drummer, bass player and lead guitar to start a band FOR FUN but committed to do the thighs right and rehearse. I like to keep it cool with no hype or ridiculous expectations. If gigs come our way, that's cool, but it's not my priority. My priority is to make good music and share. Recording would be cool too once we have developed good songs. I expect everyone to contribute with the creative process, and I'll explain myself: Don't come with an agenda to do your own 11 songs first because you have an urge to do it to get it out of your system or you are an over creative person or whatever, THIS IS NOT A SOLOIST PROJECT, IT IS A BAND. I want that we work one song of one band member at a time, you bring one song, we do it, and then the bass player brings a song, we do it, the drummer brings a song, we do it, and so on. I want that we all do the music that we all love but that it sounds original, discover and develop our sound, not a copycat of our influences like other bands. So don't come with a Em-D-C progression because THAT IS NOT ORIGINAL. The music development and constructive criticism will be WITHIN the band and the band only. SIGNIFICANT OTHERS OPINIONS OR CRITICS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. NO PERSONAL AGENDAS. NO OVER-CONTROLLING FREAKS. NO GOSSIPING BACKSTABBERS. Once I commit to something, say band or friends, I go above and beyond all the time and I'm proud of that. So again, NO GOSSIPING BACKSTABBERS, it will not be tolerated. I'm located in Fort Lauderdale but I I'm willing to travel.
