RIP. I've always appreciated the little playing I've heard from him. I probably should and will investigate his other material further, but i TOTALLY get why people would compare him to Hendrix.

There are a lot of people that got that strat sound afterwards and I suppose there might have been some that had it back then besides Trower but you certainly didn't hear it from many back then. I think his strat tone, some of the use of effects, and those sliding three or four note Hendrix-y R&B moves....yeah, I totally hear where the comparisons come from.

He's not dead just old Peg. :wink: :wink:

I remember reading an interview with Trower a long time ago, he saw Hendrix in Germany and had an epiphany, it changed the way he approached playing the guitar.

They (Hendrix and Trower) were both masters of gain, sustain and note bends without the pain :)
