I've thought a lot about this over the last 6 months...
My 'personal' realization is that we live in a culture of lies. We live in a nation of liars.
I think the real birth of it started with the emergence of the "Advertisement Disclaimer".
People around my age (maybe a little older), or younger, have grown up with Fine Print, Quick flashes of disclaimers, or hastily murmered "Oh, by the way"s in comercials.
We grew up inundated with that crap, so it IS imbedded in the moral fabric of a lot of people. It's OK to not be openly honest, or OK to lie by ommision.

Well, you let Jeff stay!
Jeff is a good- hearted man... with principles, consideration for others, a winning attitude and a whole lot of great guitar skills... (Jeff please send me that check this week)
Though i have never personally met Jeff, i am positively certain that he's not an asshole or a bully.
But, I can name at least two folks on BM , whom I think are real bullies. One uses ego, vanity and a little false pride as a weapon, the other one uses pseudo intellectualism and emotional indifference. I'll leave it at that.
Thanks Grant the check is on its way LOL! I do hope someday to meet you! In the next couple of years I plan on a drive to visit family in California! It would be nice to make a stop in El Paso maybe we could meet up then?
Jeff You and your family are absolutely welcome to come and stay with me, anytime...! Bring the Gueettar and well drank blue moons (with the oranges) and howl away

Everything is so wicket, so confusing, and yes, frightening these days - it is like someone dropped a dark curtain over the world. Sometimes i find existance these days is not something i really want to embrace.
But thanks to music and friends - it is still possible to see the light.
And for you believers, I am reminded (From Matt.24) that when we "...see things, look up, for our salvation is near."

I doubt very much that you'll be on your own on this. Most people I talk to have similar feelings sometimes, me included.
Basic honesty went when the net and 'private cell phones' arrived, people could be anything, and whoever they wanted. That will never change until we are monkeys again.
Hope you catch a good fish, fisherman. Cook it well, enjoy the taste and of living too.
Best to you and yours.
