Who can advise some site where newly created band can promote its music? As we have founded our band, but we still do not know how to make it popular. One of my friends surfed the internet and came across very useful website http://artistecard.com. With the help of this site we created our EPK (Electronic Press Kit), FB and iPhone Apps. Maybe someone knows some other websites, something like reverbnation, something cheap and affordable.

I'm sure this is SPAM, but for the sake of any newbies seeing it, the linked site is yet another webhost trying to suck money from the unwitting musician, providing nothing more than online hosting services.

If you need your stuff online for promotion, there are many choices (we have discussed in many threads here), ranging from free sites like Bandmix and reverbnation, to paying sites (Bandmix, bandzoogle, etc).

Remember that none of these places will really do any promotion for you - that's up to you.

yep.. these spammers have no imagination and are completely transparent.. are they really that dumb to think people would buy into it?

My money says "Amanda" is one and done around these parts.

I made a couple of compilations of some of our influences.
They are absurdly and unjustifiably GIGANTIC.
I made one for somebody and just got carried away.
The others were originally just for my personal use.
I spent all day listening to them.
If anyone wants me to post the links to download and give 'em a listen, just let me know.
Maybe you'll find something you like.

Why do you assume I never listened? Because I didn't comment on your effort? Did it never occur to you that maybe I listened but didn't respond because I didn't have anything nice or positive to say?

Tell me, do you listen to every song that BM regulars post for public consumption and then follow up with a reply on the job they did? Do you always check out every video and everyone's profile page to check out THEIR music? Have you been to my page to check mine? I guess not since you never had anything to say about it. No worries, I don't "expect" you or anyone else to. Like you, I hope they will but if not, well that's ok too.

Ever heard of DOS?
It is Mike Watt (Minutemen) and his ex-wife Kira Roessler (Black Flag), both on bass...nothin' else.
They have a couple albums out.
I like 'em!
