Just another excuse for a Govt. holiday. Who else gets to enjoy that day off? Why mention his name if it is politically incorrect to mention the greatest man's name who ever lived name Jesus Christ? Don't say Christmas? Don't say Martin Luther King's Birthday!

MLK was a great man...and he loved Jesus.

We should honor him for leading the Civil rights movement in a non-violent way. Had it been Malcolm X leading it, there would have been a lot of blood.

MLK would NEVER have gone along with the race-pimps pushing the new version today.

I didn't know MLK Jr.
I always had suspicion of him being a fraud.
Much was said about his financial dealings and adulterous flings, but that could have all been to discredit him.

I don't mind a day off, but for nurses there is no such thing as a holiday.
And we dang sure won't get paid for it if we happen to be off.

Besides . . . the dead . . . don't have birthdays.

I get that. Thanks. Maybe we should call it Martinmas. As great a man he was to the race wars, he was only a man, not a messiah. Try going against the naming of that holiday and you may get shot. I also do not prescribe to St. Patrick's day. The Irish were very fundamental in this nation's expansion, building the Rail Roads. There were however, more Chinese that lost their lives than the Irish, doing just the same. To take one man and make him great because there were followers that would get violent without him. "Give me liberty or give me death" Malcolm X was just a great a man in his own right. I am white. I also understand assault. Blacks were being assaulted with water guns, attack dogs, billy clubs and assholes. Try that today with any race and wait for the uprising. Without Malcolm X, Martin Luther King's stand would not have half the meaning. I applaud all those that stand (or have stood) against oppression! Just give me the right to say "Christmas" or Give us another holiday the govt. can take a day off and call it Malcolm X day!

Its really tragic, that hospitals bill the crap out of everyone and everything, and yet its impossible to pry out an extra nickle from the hands of the admins who dictate the payroll budget. The truth is , they are stingy, so as to increase their annual bonuses. Its a sickness, with no cure, I'm afraid.

Stupider? Fox Noise? Where have you been? Are you saying it IS politically correct to say Christmas? Why should it be more politically correct to say Martin Luther King'S Birthday? Or are you just being arbitrary? Jesus was for ALL Mankind. Why aren't the ACLU after that cause? HMMM. Just put your head back in the hole. We'll tell you when it' safe. I promise!

MLK, John Lennon, Ghandi..?

All good people knew that spreading the message of peace, equality, and harmony would most likely lead to their demise, yet did it anyways.
