Or that they have nothing to do with it.

I think that's "more arrogant".

Oh, like the Creationist Museum?
Global Warming denialists?

Yes, there are quacks with an agenda.
That's why we have things like "peer review" to see who's got their facts straight.
See, that's the beauty of science.
NOTHING is accepted on faith.
EVERYTHING requires proof.
And there is always advancement, learning new things we didn't know before.
So, what was accepted as fact hundreds or thousands of years ago has been proven wrong.
And what we accept as fact now may change too, if further evidence requires it.
Global warming may not be caused by humans.
There could be something the scientists missed.
But, everything we have to go on now shows that is not the case.
Yes, pollution mutates fish and global warming melts the polar ice caps, drowning many polar bears in the process.
Humans have an effect on their environment.

the influence of Aristotle's errors is considered by some to have held back science considerably. Bertrand Russell notes that "almost every serious intellectual advance has had to begin with an attack on some Aristotelian doctrine". Russell also refers to Aristotle's ethics as "repulsive", and calls his logic "as definitely antiquated as Ptolemaic astronomy". Russell notes that these errors make it difficult to do historical justice to Aristotle, until one remembers how large of an advance he made upon all of his predecessors.[7]

Man is just a dirty pack of trained animals.

Our offspring is only as cultured or intelligent as you teach them to be.

(The one you don't fully educate is the one that destroys the world.)

I'm glad no alien life has decided to destroy this little dump we call home.
Let's face it, the Earth is not a place where people universally work together.

They (meaning man) are in fact hostile and wish the destruction of others of their own species just to further their own personal agendas.

It's a "ends justify the means" scenario we got going pretty much globally and at some point we'll have to "pay the piper" for what's been going on.

But for now, it's breathe easy and everything is 5x5. The question is for how much longer ...

Me thinks not as big an effect on the environment as ARROGANT humans think! It is scientific FACT the earth has frozen and warmed many times over billions of years. It will continue the process over and over again. Yes we are at the top of the food chain but so were the dinosaurs. Furthermore the earth has been warming since the end of the ice age and will continue! Mans not helping but we didn't cause it because it started Waaaay before the industrial revolution. So again I say "Only mankind can be arrogant enough to think he is the cause OR SOLUTION"! I personally don't believe the world will come to an end until the sun runs out of fuel and swells to consume the solar system out to about Jupiter. That's when I believe the world will come to an end. However I do believe that the world WILL end for mankind before then in one way or another! We WILL go the way of the dinosaurs!

"Selling Jupiter" sounds like a chapter from "The Space Merchants", a sci-fi novel by Frederik Pohl and Cyril M. Kornbluth.

Ech "it all sounds like something".

"Never let that be a limiter".

You write it anyway and just let it come out slowly.
9 out of 10 times, it's different enough not even trying.

On the converse, if you set out to write something in the vein of...
9 out of 10 times, it'll be sh*t.

You can't force it and you can only kind of guess at it as it does what it does naturally.

it's basic science- if you dump a bunch of chemicals into a lake, the life in that lake tends to devolve or die out. It's been documented time and time again that when chemical companies dump toxins near communities, huge outbreaks of birth defects, cancers, and other horrific diseases strike the entire community. To say that man dumping chemicals cause it is "arrogant" of man to think his actions are that important is just wrong.
