I recently came across and old cover I did of The Stone's Heartbreaker. I put it up on my profile. Anyone out there figure they could lay down a lead vocal on it?

dajax,
Your playing and recording prowess continues to impress! Especilly from one so young.(5 years my junior) If land taxes keep increasing around my neck of "Penn'sWoods",I may consider a move to good ol' "Ajax".(do ya all have "Guinness" up there?

LOL...Ajax is pub central, a very high % british population...lotsa Guinness here! I was digging thru cassettes I did on my old Tascam Portastudio 424 and found that Stones tune. The only thing I wish I had of done differently now that I've heard it again, is to have less overdrive on the guitar, and especially the clavinet.

Holy cripes! clavinet indeed! It went right over my head upon first listen, proveing once again the ol' ears aint what they used to be ! I land filled my clavinet (C) many years ago. I used to receive "Radio Moscow"from the preamp! It was very "high maintenance",but pluged into the old black panel Super Reverb,it was virtually a "Strat with keys"!

I don't thinks it's your ears... it just came out too close to a guitar tone. If I replace it, because of all the parts bounced down on the cassette, I'll have to redo half the horns, and half the doo doo doos also It's actually done on a Roland Rhodes 660 with a clav soundcard, but recorded direct thru a Sansamp...I should have put it through an amp instead.
