Studies have been shown that guitars who have a daily glass of red wine live longer than guitars who don't drink.

Touch wood but so far my guitars are teetotalers. Some of my amps on the other hand, have been real guzzlers.

Tequila does seem to improve the sustain but whisky makes them sound muddy.
