A rough draft. The neighbors are always yelling "peace on you", around Christmas time. I know they feel that way.
A Christmas Card From Jesus
I got a Christmas card from Jesus, who moved in down the street.
Jesus asked his dad to bless me Now I'll have good stuff to eat.
Ya know that things were lookin down before we chanced to meet
But I finally did meet Jesus and I think that’s purdy neat.
Verse
Well the kids are tearin up my house, and clutterin up the floors
The hinges are all squeaky, and the paints peeled off the doors
I didn’t think I’d ever make it. Not through even one more day
Till I opened up my mailbox , and read what Jesus had to say
He said Merry Christmas, Bubba , from Jesus , Luis, and Wan
Well, that struck me kinda funny. I thought his brothers name was John
And why’d he ditch them sandals? 'n put a sombrerro on his head?
Perhaps he liked my outfit, and wanted cowboy boots instead
Chorus

Verse
I’m afraid that He’s been drinkin. I smell’t whiskey on his breath
But that coulda been communion , shouldn’t worry my self to death.
I just know he came to free me , So I could leave this life behind
And I’ll be gettin me a fresh start, without a worry on my mind.
Jesus called his mom Rosita , Naa ...I think that was just my ears
Seems that all my stuffs been runnin down, and has been through the years
But it sure didn’t sound like Mary. I know that’s his mama’s name
Well his daddy sure has blessed me. Cause I’m rackin up SoundClick fame

fade out
I wonder what he’s gunna do with all them cars? Must be a least a hundred of ‘em in that yard.
Bet them other folks is disciples .... By golly, there sure is a lot of ‘em.
NO HATE MAIL, PLEASE!
