LOL 4+ days./..

If you think you know, stfu. You don't know anything.

I got stung on day 1, mowing lawn. (uggnnhh)

24 hours went by, thought I was ok.
I started blowing up like a balloon.

No throat itchy or swelling, but I did have mini short of breath issues.
I suffered through it another day or 2, when this lady from the dogpark offered to jab me with the epi pen.

I told her to stab me while I looked away. (I hate needles)

I felt better after. (don't give me your sh*t about anaphylactic reaction, I think I had a long reaction...)

Then it took 2 more days for the full results to go away.

swelling of the everything
itching, redness, heat, sensitivity ... I had the whole 9 yards.

And I even found time to fix 2 tube amps and a 5 way switch on my main guitar. (I did get badly shocked + burned 2x, though)(Watch those 6L6's, I never yelled out loud from being shocked before and BOTH of those shocks had me shaking the foundations)

I was a "live and let live" type guy with the bugs, now I am fully stocked with toxic sprays. "not going through that again"..

Thanks for your kind words and prayers..not going to give it up cause of the stinging things. In retrospect, I should have covered myself with mud.

...Scotty...my sympathies. After bees sting you they die. Be careful as you know what they say ... these kind of shitty things come in threes. Ta

Yep, tube amps are definitely lethal. All filter capacitors should be drained before working on one. you're lucky that didn't kill you...it can, and I'm very serious about that. Look it up on any of the tube amp pages. That's a warning they all stress strongly.

If it took 24 hours before swelling etc set in that doesn't sound like bee or wasp. Usually that will set in very fast. Their venom is primarily for self defense, and by nature fast acting. I'd like to know just what insect it is. Nobody I've ever head of had effects that waited that long. Every time I've ever been stung, whether once or the time it was over 50, I was hurting and swollen within a few minutes. With bees and red wasps it's painful instantly and swollen in seconds. When stung over 50 times I was in bad shape that day, but still basically sick from it the next day. But swelling had gone down by nightfall. (It happened around 10AM)

After finding out the pain and swelling didn't show up until 24 hours or so later, I don't think this was a bee or wasp. Say what you want, if a bee or wasp sting causes real trouble, it does it in minutes, not overnight.
