What recording software?

I've been using Audacity which isn't too great. Also tried a Tascam recorder which I haven't loved.

I'm looking for a solution I can run from my laptop.

Like the tune.

Free to try out the full version, then only $60 to license it. Full-feature DAW and its fairly intuitive, once you read all the appropriate sections of the rather large user manual!
They have a good user forum for asking questions on the website, too.

Ever cencs I was in iraq I have run all my recordings off of ( cool.edit pro ) it's probably not the best recording tool out there but when you're working with a limited amount of equipment I know type of interface now a days I can put out recorded music cleaner the most can with thousands of dollars worth of recording crap
