Hackers are getting better at their jobs...

I just got a call from the Bank I have a CC with...

Apparently some dickhead in Grand Rapids Mich ran a charge on my account for 5 bucks. (Some entertainment Co.).

What's amazing is that the bank caught it and notified me...

The weird thing is that I take extreme measures to conceal my information... and yet this still happens.. SO I can only suspect that some vendor that I did business online with, has sold off the number in a list.

Well I got a new card...and I wont be be purchasing any subscriptions on line anymore...That would include BM (Sorry BM)

Cant trust the internet no how, no way.

That sucks Dog. Always make sure you have a "lock" or secure symbol and even better yet use an account with no no overdraft protection and only fund it immediately before you use it on line.

Even my sales tax account is at a completely different bank and only gets funded when needed.

Do I look like some one that would even trust our government?

Good Points But I absolutely Dont use a Debit card except on designated vendor that I trust. And if that goes afoul, I know whose store to burn down.

Some hacker charged $800 to my account after I told the bank that I didn't want any payments made over what I had deposited. And I only had about $100 in the account at the time. I kept my account low on cash because the bank had paid .35 overdraft on a $5.00 charge (I had $4.65 in the account) and then charged me a $35 overdraft charge. The $5.00 charge was for ATT internet and they billed me early so I didn't have the monthly bill money in the account yet.

Regardless Wells Fargo saw the overdraft fees they could collect if they paid on the hackers over charges, so they paid the overdrafts even though I stated that I did not want them to ever do that again. It took 6 months for them to clear it up even though all the charges were made in California. All they cared about was the $90 or so that they could make off overdraft fees.

I keep only a bare minimum in my account at all times. When I order something on line, I deposit the cash earlier in the same day to cover that order. So far so good.

Never trusst a bank.

The custom of shaking hands was so that men could speak eye to eye and know the position of the others sword hand at all times.

So much for trust ...

What a great bit of trivia! :) I enjoyed that. Unfortunately, with the advance of synthetic limbs, one could no longer even trust that.
