Slacker G wrote:Yeah. Thanks Bandmix and Adobe. Now I can't listen to songs on this site as well as not being able to view videos.

My browser won't upload the new Adobe and I'm not about to buy new stuff just because those a$$holes want me to spend more money on computers and OS.

I have XP but it is too vulnerable to viruses and I would have to learn how to delete adds from my Internet service all over again. Virus protection takes too long to load. It's a low rent provider and I found out how to get inside their OS and block the adds that they pummel me with every time I go on line. Not sure if I can find the tool in XP to do that. Besides, that still wouldn't allow me to view vids.

Guess the only thing left for me is to go on the forums and pi$$ off me mates... :)

Gee... I hope they aren't listening to this.........

I DOnt Have XP but I think XP has Windows Firewall. You can block or Unblock Addins there ....I think... Also the browser IE should allow yo to make settings for Add-In policies.

Download Firefox browser, much better than IE and will work with XP.

After a lot of searching and CL ads I realized that if the person/band does not provide any online links to tunes or videos, they probably not up to the level I'm looking for. Looking through the older profiles here at BM, I found 1 local guy who had some songs posted that I liked the sound of, but no contact info, so I searched him out on Facebook and now we've been working on a duo act.

Did I f*ing jinx myself? Just got a call from this guy - after 3 2-hour practices he tells me he doesn't have time right now for practicing (hasn't picked up his guitar except for our practices in the last month). I guess if people don't update their profiles here at Bandmix it's a clue that they aren't really interested in doing anything with some commitment.
If nothing else, I learned some new songs (3 Doors Down, Tonic, Pearl jam ...)
Back to square 1, and doing some recording (at least I've got a dozen songs in various stages of mixdown and a few new ones 'under construction).

Thanks Jahva.

Mike good luck on your search for like
minded players. I''ve give up on BM
and cl to find players. I've got a big
rehearsal room, and my boy's band
(20 and 21 year old boys, play here
regularly, and my my son-in-laws band
(a group of 30 something men also
play here a couple times a month, and
then I have the stray old musician friend
that show s up occassionally.

To the point I want to make the best record of my recordings
that I can. So I make these scratch recordings of the songs we
work on them and record them at the best studio I know, we
have the best logo possible (I've designed a logo to sell merchandise,
it's offensive, but attractive tothe crowd I'm marketing to).
I'm going to try to do everything I can to make every detail of
this project as good as I possibly can, and then I'm going to do my
old thing, I'm going to sell it.
