Peace mongers always seem to omit the primary cause of wars past and future. You can not treat irrational civilizations with rationality. To begin dismantling our nuclear stockpiles and downsizing our armed forces is like saying come and get us. While this complete moron and his minions are cutting down our strength and apologizing to those who wish to destroy us, they are building up their forces and arsenals with the hopes of destroying us. And some morons amongst us believe that they should be allowed to have nukes. For what purpose? To live peacefully with us? To live peacefully with their neighbors? Or do they want them to destroy their neighbors, and us?
Israel is up against an irrational society that openly profess that when they get nukes they will wipe them off the map. This is a society that believe that if they start a nuclear war their savior will come to reward them. Nothing irrational about that as some would believe as shown by their actions.
If Canada or Mexico were just obtaining nukes, and the purpose of their getting them was to unleash them on the United States, would you want a preemptive strike to prevent that? Would you attempt to change their government to a peace oriented government? War is ruthless and deplorable. War is here to stay as long as ambitious men rule.
If the Muslim Brotherhood and other radicals believe that starting a nuclear war will bring utopia, isn't it better to stop them before and not after it is too late? And how do you convince an irrational man to act rationally? How do you use words against a mad man to thwart his purpose when he is convinced that he is right?
Bring it down to basics. Your neighbor wants to kill your wife and children. He is a mad man who is buying guns and ammunition that you know is for that very purpose. He is a marksman, and you know that one day he will murder your wife and children without warning as they walk out your front door. Are you going to tell him that you are getting rid of all your weapons? Are you going to apologize to him for simply existing? Are you going to wait for the police to rescue you after he acts?
