Hey Guys.... I've noticed I've been posting a few and responding but really never getting aknowleged... Like I read in another post, kinda looks like a clique going on and I just have to get you guys to warm up to me. I'm from Long Island, NY and I used to tour with a band called "Spellbound" in the 80's. We were doin' pretty well till my Vocalist started getting carried away with the "white stuff".... We eventually went our seperate ways and I got married in '87, never looking at my equipment again....sold everything.

Well... my 2nd wife made the mistake of buying me a guitar and amp last X-mas and I haven't put it down since!

After locking myself in a room for a few months, practicing up to 6 hours a day doing finger exercises, scales, arpeggios, etc... I finally was brave enough to start my own project in my basement.. after going through quite a few musicians over the months, I feel I've honed in on the perfect personell. Each one is a seasoned musician that has toured and recorded... looking to just do local gigs and have fun with this.

Last weeks rehearsal sounded a little tighter:

I Don't Know

Children Of The Grave

Crazy Train

Highway Star

Only been with the singer and bassist one other time.... been with the drummer for about a month. This is the quickest I've ever seen a band get together and hash out about 28 songs in 2 weeks. As you can tell, of course we need to tighten them up and perfect our parts as well as my back up vocals! We will be ready to gig in about a month.

The name of the band is "PanikAtack" and you can go onto :

Here

to see upcoming gigs and future amateur videos...

My equipment is:

2 Les Pauls, 1 American Deluxe American series Fender Strat, 1 30 Watt Line6 for my office, 1- 150 watt Line6 Combo w/2 Celestions, One 4x12 Stereo Cabinet w/Celestions and various effects Pedals.

Welcome, I love that tune Highway Star. You do a really good job on the solo. I used to play it but left out the keyboard solo, and kind of put the key and guitar solo together. Anyway, I would love to find some guys in my area to play some stuff like you guys do. Those songs bring back a lot of memories. Keep Rockin and Kick Out The Jams.

Hiya and welcome. It's great when you find a group that plays well together and shares similar goals. Enjoy every minute of it. Get some audio up for everyone to listen to.

LMAO!

He means HERE bro. LOL

Welcome to the boards. And hey, we're not snobs here. The more the merrier. I checked out alot of your videos on YouTube last week. Sounds pretty good.

And your post here resonates with me quite a bit brother. I also played the road for many years, then got saddled down with sh*t, and kind of backed off for a number of years. But, my wife's brother wanted me to teach him guitar, and DAMN IT, if that wasn't all it took to bring back that old feeling! LOL

So, like you, I started playing again, and in no time, a band began forming, and it has been growing ever since.

And what is it with second wives? LMAO! They seem to support our musical endeavors more than the first. Same thing happened to me. Is that a cosmic law or something?

And post some music up here on Bandmix, before Irminsul chops your fingers off. LOL

Welcome brother!

Thank you...the funny part is that I met my first wife in my audience...but as soon as I put that ring on her finger, she was a real pain whenever I had to thit the road... the straw that broke the camel's back was when we were booked to gig in San Juan, Puerto Rico for 6 weeks...food and room all paid for by management and we were to do 3 gigs each week! She put the "Kaibosh" on that and I ended up quitting and found someone else to fill in my spot.... didn't pick up a guitar after that! :x

BTW.... Just how do I actually go about putting present and future audio up here????

Crip2Nite,
You said " . . . booked to gig in San Juan, Puerto Rico for 6 weeks...food and room all paid for by management and we were to do 3 gigs each week! She put the "Kaibosh" on that . . ."
.
Man, that's grounds for divorce right there . . .

click on that link, then click "Upload New File"
