If you are experimenting with this song... I got to thinking...you were just up in Alaska, weren't you? What I got was a feeling of those narrow channels between two icy mountains, and a midnight blue, clear cold night. Now, if you could grab a 1930's Victrola sound (with touch of cavernous/water echo) to accompany the melody, what a great piece that would be...

Johnny Mathis was probably the most perfect singer
I've ever heard. Just listen to this Live performance
he did for Carson. Every note, every syllable perfect
and timing second to none.
