Jamming the other day and ended up sailing through 3 tunes in quick succession.

They were Heartbreak Hotel, Ice Cream Man and Pride And Joy.

What I want to know is what sounds the same to you when you play?

Are you saying those three songs sound the same to you?

Similar. Am I speaking English?

Gee if this is to be a hardship just let the thread die.

I have a few more I was going to throw out, but maybe this is the wrong place to talk about music anymore.

We're more interested in politics, rhetoric and pure idiocy. (as if)

LOL Playing them now as ICED JOY, HEARTBREAK MAN and PRIDE HOTEL..just for you stinkers.

Play that funky music white boy/Superstitions, we actually do that on my player here, we call it the Funk cause we then sec into Thankufaletmebmyself, and we want the funk.

When we play live I insert different songs into others, the last gig we were playing whipping post and I did heartbreaker over the top, sounded pretty good but really freaked our drummer out, but hell he should be used to me doing stuff like that, he and I have been playing together since we were teenagers.

This is really easy to do if you get into one of those I, IV, V blues romps also.

They all might be a I, IV, V or a I,V,IV
The timing and the dynamics sound so much
different on Heartbreak Hotel
We play I'm Not in Love and Surrender together
Cause they both got that A/B chord in them

TY very much, gents.

JW you hit it right on the nose. I was humming it and that's a great example!

What else you people got? I know there's more. They do not have to be 1-4-5, that just happened to be the example I was thinking of.

You'd be surprised when you play a tune that allows you to go over the top and segue into another well know tune people recognize. Sometimes the crowd just eats that manure up cause they think you intended to do that to be even more entertaining. (those dumb suckers)

If you ever catch me doing this, it was a mistake but I would never admit to it. No, anything that sounds good that people liked was definitely a PLANNED event.

(Or that's my story and I'd be sticking to it) lol

Do Wop, Same as before. Mega hit, but never felt the need to play it. Let us know.
