One feature I'd love to see on Bandmix would be an instant chat feature. When I go on the forum I usually see one or two other users I recognize also using Bandmix. When somebody is looking at your profile and you happen to be on Bandmix it could say that, something like Facebook does. It would make contacting other premier members a litle easier.

I'm sure there would be some interesting exchanges. I was thinking an instant chat would be more beneficial for finding new band members.

Agreed.

Some of the arrangements, exchange of ideas / CD's ETC would have been facilitated by an IC method.

It's easy enough to ignore / block those with nothing better to do than give other grief.

That is a great idea, fisherman. This site, IMHO, is an excellent way to Network. The only thing that makes it difficult is the distance but "tools" such as a chat function will bring us closer. We can work as a band and it is possible to develop a valuble networking system with an added chat feature.

It’s a great idea but until they actually do one. I set up a chat room so you folks can use if you wish: http://www.la-long.net/chat/

It's weird, I thought I had posted that before.

Sounds like a good idea, I've used a few of those and it can be very interesting. Had one on a computer tech support site where I was once the moderator for several years, it was great when someone posted a really tough problem. Several of the best on the forums could get together in the chat room, kick ideas around then one of us would post the group's ideas to try and fix the computer. We did that a number of times, and had a great time doing it. Also had some great conversations, just let someone make a comment about almost anything and off we went. A group session like that can get really interesting when you have a half dozen highly intelligent people who really enjoy discussions about loads of different topics, from astronomy to computers to guns to fishing to plants and gardening to...

We had several regulars who were very intelligent, and all loved to just grab onto whatever anyone would mention and kick ideas back and forth. Sometimes it would get incredible interesting, sometimes very involved, and at times just plain silly...
