What would it take to put these projects together? I think maybe this:

1) Talented, dedicated, and passionate musicians.
2) Players who have big ears and can pick up their parts off the recordings, then play 'em well - without having to struggle much.
3) Professional gear and the know-how to use it (samplers, effects, laptops).
4) Great improvisers with the ability to deviate from the material in their own ways (something I'm definitely interested in doing).
5) Players who are interested in and can do a LIMITED AMOUNT of rehearsals by showing up knowing their parts, and nailing it all down relatively quickly.
6) Ideally, players who do NOT have drug or alcohol problems.
7) (Insert your idea here)

At this point, it's only a thought, but a WAY BIGTIME SERIOUS one!

A bit about me & Pink Floyd: I play keyboards and can sing a bit. Plop me in front of a piano and I'll gladly play you DSOTM, WYWH, Animals & The Wall from start to finish with tremendous glee & intensely rocking fervor (not saying this to brag - just trying to tell you where I'm at in terms of readiness).
For NIN, I know all the pretty piano stuff off "The Fragile" and have the rest of it clear enough in my head that I'm about 80% ready to go with that record. I'm also good with my Mac laptop, and own some vintage noise-making equipment. "With Teeth" & "Year Zero" are both somewhat new to me, but once the players are together, I'll be right there with ya!
Re: RADIOHEAD, I can play most of Kid A, some of OK Computer, some of Amnesiac, and am VERY familiar with Christopher O'Riley's piano "reimaginations." So, that's where I'm at with all THAT stuff.

What I need (besides an editor): I'd like at least one other keyboard player for NIN (maybe not for PF, but who knows?) or possibly one of the following who can also double on keys: a vocalist, a bassist, a drummer, percussion/electronics, and a couple of guitarists.

BIG IMPORTANT NOTE: If you DO NOT fit all the above criteria, please don't let this stop you from contacting me! Please be over 18 though, thanks!

So! Waddaya think!?! Are you interested at all? If so, drop me a line and let's meet somewhere and talk about what's possible.

Thanks for your interest!

I like all three groups, but what an odd combination. Is it really going to be a "tribute" band covering only those three? Or are you going to be a cover band and those are examples of groups you want to cover?

Just curious.

It will be 3 different and separate groups, each playing the music of one of these bands exclusively.

If, however, someone in the NIN tribute wants to and can play in, say, the Radiohead tribute, all the better.

I have already received numerous replies from people, most of whom are interested in the Pink Floyd tribute. There have also been a small number expressing interest in the NIN & Radiohead, though.

Ultimately, I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is interested and thinks they could be a good contribution.

Thanks for asking!
