The young guitar phenom I've been playing with wants to try a power trio for a while. Never been in one but worth a try. Just need to find a killer drummer...Still can get the old blues band a job or two and a classic rock band wants me to play bass for them (and sing of course). Hopefully I can juggle all three without too many conflicts.

I think trios are the best way to go. The band has no problem getting tight, and communication is easier...usually.

Three bands now? I wish I had your problem!

Requires more active bass parts.
I'm sure that isn't a problem for Bob though.

Works for us. We just play straight up. We don't even add second guitar parts in our recordings. Speaking of recordings I'm going to have to go some place with wi-fi soon so I can change some on this site easier.
