Is FB that beneficial for finding musicians? If so, do I need to sign up as a band rather than using a personal profile? Is that the only way to put MP3's up?

I just use it to keep track of whats the haps and to advertise for gigs.

Just a little update...so far, so good. We added a fantastic vocalist who also plays keys and sax. From what I've heard, SHE is as excited as we are. Funny thing is (just like with the guitar player) I met her many years ago! We actually played together (briefly) @ 1994 or so.


The sets are coming out crazy, too. We basically want to play a little of everything.

Just to name a few...SO, we have bass, guitar and keys (sax), plus we all three do vocals...AND we have a drummer and another guitarist on the line.
It's gonna involve A LOT of work, but I think it will pay off...

I get a gig a month out of FB ... but I do the hired gun thing, I'm not in a band. 90% of my friends on FB are Pro musicians, so it's great seeing what projects they are involved in and if they need me they just send a message. Also it great to see who is going to what jam so I can stay fresh in their minds. In this business if your not seen and heard ppl start to think you're out of the scene.
