I'm a total movie sound-track junky at work. When programming, I love to listen to James Horner, Hans Zimmer, etc. So much great movie music to be had!
The more I practice, the more time I wish I had to practice
I post my band's progression / findings here::

I usually try and listen to people who I consider to have virtuosity on an instrument or vocally. I mainly listen to blues but I enjoy many genres of music. People who I consider to be at the top of their game are Junior Wells (blues vocalist supreme), Freddie King (blues guitarist supreme), Tom Barabas (New Age keyboardist supreme), John McLeod (Country singer supreme), Lynyrd Skynyrd (as much as I have heard them they are getting better with age for me), Roy Buchanan (savage blues guitarist), Screaming Jay Hawkins (don't know how to classify him but one of the most entertaining singers ever IMO), Al Green (smoothest R & B/soul singer EVER), etc. There's too many people to list here...
