They must be punished, and the thing they will understand best is cutting off or reducing the amount of aid we send them. This is not anti-semitism, it's just common sense.

Yep. James, I agree. Their should be some form consequence, but I don't think the amount of aid will ever change.
They should at least be called out on it by their allies.
(I think that goes for any of our allies, and even our own country)

I have no compassion for terrorists after 9/11.
No shoot , but when I see stuff like this I wonder how anti semetic you are ,and how flocking nuts you are , because you are saying it is OK to allow sniper operatives to work within the civilian population.

All you ANTI JEWS you better go back and read and reread the Constitution.

Eheheheheehehehe, you still think a few bandits living out of caves had the resources to pull of the WTC attacks.

These people aren't a "few bandits" living out of caves.

Bin Laden is from a wealthy family in Saudi Arabia which has close ties to the Saudi Royal Family. He is heavily financed from numerous sources, including his own family fortune. Before becoming a terrorist, he was a member of the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, the so-called "Freedom Fighters" who were engaged in fighting Soviet Union hostilities in Afghanistan. His personal wealth allowed him to bring Arab insurgents from all over the world, to join this fight, where he began to become somewhat of a folk hero.

He established a training camp in Afghanistan, where Arabs were trained to fight the Soviets. The Mujahideen were also financed, armed and trained by AMERICA. Upon the Soviet withdrawal, Bin Laden came home a full fledged hero of Jihad, among Arabs the world over, having BEATEN the Soviet Union, one of the world's major powers. American weapons and training gave Bin Laden a hell of an education... worldwide recognition gave him more supporters and more financing.

With all that financing, support and American training, it is not any harder to believe that a few radicals piloted American planes in a terrorist attack, than it is, to accept that Bin Laden was also responsible for these terrorist attacks as well...

1992 - Gold Mohur Hotel Bomings - Somalia
1993 - World Trade Center Bombings - New York
1998 - United States embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania
2000 - Bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen
2001 - Planes flown into World Trade Center and Pentagon
2004 - Madrid train bombings
2007 - Algiers bombings
2008 - Danish-embassy bombing
2009 - Little Rock recruiting office shooting
2009 - Northwest Airlines Flight 253

That's alot of WORLDWIDE destruction, for mere cave dwellers.

He pulled all those off, worldwide, but could not possibly have been responsible, for some radicals, flying a few planes into some buildings?

Right.

Makes perfect sense.

That's quite true, Craig.

Perhaps one day we'll stop arming & training ppl that will eventually turn against us, eh? We did it in the middle east, and in the central & south american continents, too, & they turned against us, too. (Yeah, I know that "central america" isn't a "continent," before you nit-pickers jump in on that one!) You'd think our gov't would learn, but they don't. Administration after administration makes the same mistakes, with the same ends, all too often. How often must our armed forces face our own weaponry & training before the message sinks in?

I still can't believe that we can't find this guy, though. We've been after him for 18 years or more? Our intelligance community, our technologies, our torture of prisoners, our satellites, nothing has worked?

He must really be good at what he does!

Or perhaps we're really just that bad at what we do?

It's not in our best interests to find bin Laden. As long as he's out there we can justify little wars wherever we want. The majority of the American public still wants him captured or killed, and have written a blank check to the government for this. I hope it doesn't bounce.

I'm curious Craig...

Do you find it puzzling that Flight 77 made a 330 degree turn to hit the only side of the Pentagon that had been reinforced to withstand that sort of impact?

I have a little known trivia fact for ya... did you know we recovered the two black boxes from Flight 77? American Airlines reports they were the newer solid state type very resistant to damage.

The NTSB officials who took the black boxes from the scene were confident they could retrieve data from them... but they were confiscated by the FBI later and reported that "Preliminary information shows there is nothing that appears to be useful on the cockpit voice tape. The tape appears to be blank or erased." In its report on the CVR, the NTSB identified the unit as an L-3 Communications, Fairchild Aviation Recorders model A-100A cockpit voice recorder; a device which records on magnetic tape. The NTSB reported that "The majority of the recording tape was fused into a solid block of charred plastic." No usable segments of tape were found inside the recorder.

Does it seem natural to you that two 110 story buildings would fall into their own footprint after being designed and insured to withstand just such an impact?

Did it seem odd to you that the nation that painstakingly rebuilds wrecked Trains and aircraft to review and report, would whisk off the evidence under heavy guard and penalty of incarceration for talking about the "patriotic effort"? That we would sell WTC steel to China?! Do we not have Steel recyclers here?

Yeah, you keep on believing the scapegoat the CIA trained to fight Soviet tanks is a supervillian who knocks over tall buildings with a kerosene fire.

Doubtful.

Bin Laden, Noriega, Saddam Hussein, the list goes on!

We train them, use them, and make them our enemies when their usefulness has expired, or we don't like the side deals they get involved with.

For all we know, he is living in the basement of an oil-rich, sheik's mansion, in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.

I don't agree.

The government can ALWAYS manufacture a reason to go to war if they want. Bin Laden makes us look incompetent. He fuels more insurgents to want to blow themselves up. He is a messiah figure, like Hitler before him. Killing him would incense terrorists to pay-back, but it would be short-lived. No one else seems to have the charisma and history that Bin Laden does.

I think he is being protected.

American reward money would mean little, if Bin Laden is already paying them off. They take our money and turn him in, they are traitors forever, to a messiah-like leader. The leader that brought America to it's knees.

Who, in the arab world, wants that to betray that person?

Find him, and put him on trial, and you save face, and make it appear SOME progress has been made... you still have to go after all the individual cells.

I don't think there is any conspiracy to keep him safe.

We lose clout in the world's eyes, the longer he remains on the loose.

I like you. If I knew more about the attacks I could comment, but I agree that something was *off* about the whole situation. I am personally not convinced that it was Bin Laden, regardless of the money he has.
