I played my dad's guitars first, but the first guitar, that was mine, was a Harmony acoustic my mom bought at a yard sale for $10.00.
My first electric was an Epiphone guitar through a little Gibson amp. I was abot nine years old. Don't remember the exact model. The guitar simply had an Epiphone neck and was a franken-guitar that someone had made a strat-style body, put humbuckers on, and a Badd-Ass bridge. It had custom Grover machine-heads and a bad attitude. I played that thing for years-- finally smashed it to bits and burned it in the fireplace. I still have all the hardware. I remember splitting the neck with a hatchet to see how the truss-rod worked. Ha!
