The nature of Amazon, Facebook and Google can be open to dispute. I certainly use them all in my work and pay very little so I'm glad they are there.

Yet they pay little or no tax? Are they then not living outside the boundaries of 'normal' businesses? Are they ad hoc public utilities in that case? Do I want them to pay tax when I personally consider taxation to be extortion? Not sure...

I'm not pushing that argument and I'm still thinking it over but it's food for thought.

If it helps to feed your thoughts, corporations don't really pay taxes, they simply pass the cost to you. To review, corporations are made up of people like you and I who pay income taxes on the money (after the govt cut and cap ex) that is brought in from providing a product. It is impossible to stick it to corporations without sticking it to the people who work for them and buy from them. Of course, money talks, so you might feel some frustration in trying taking your business elsewhere in order to send a message when your choices are so limited. These companies should not get tax breaks or subsidies (mail pricing in Amazon's case) that other companies do not. That behavior involves government picking winners which reduces our choices using our own money in a partisan manner. Not partisan, you say? Well, if they get subsidies, that is a deal with the devil. If it is my tax money, then they better operate like a public access utility.

First of all, Conservatives seem to be the only people working within the rules for the last few decades. What are you talking about?

And Alex Jones is not regarded as a voice for conservatives any more than the dumb Ocasio socialist chick in New York is a voice for NFL Quarterbacks

Guitar Mike ... you must be so pleased to be able to regurgitate such agreeable vomit. So you see pumpkin CENSORSHIP is indeed happenning. Your "UNTHINK" method in viewing the world swirling about you is not even myopic. Wallow in what you percieve as "Victory" soon it will be apparent even to those little minds that it is no victory. Smut and Vegetable are "with" you so you will not be alone in your ignorance. Live Well Die Well

You're the one defending Alex Jones, not me. Why give that douche the time of day? Avoid him at all costs. Telling school shooting victims they're really just "crisis actors"? That's incredibly scummy, wouldn't you say?

What I mean about the rules of the game is this. We all know that the "mainstream media" is 100% liberal and they'll cut you off at the knees over anything at any time. But it's not like you didn't know that, right? So you stay on message, connecting with the voters in "flyover country" who were always going to vote for you and do anything and everything to avoid alienating moderate "swing voters" who are desperately needed to win elections, especially in the electoral college.
Stop sending out tweets like this...

Stop coddling white supremacists. Stop harping on the NFL flag stuff. It's all a losing issue at this rate. Focus on getting something passed by the Congress before you lose it. Anything. Please.

In the meantime, liberals have the electoral college to bitch about and that isn't changing anytime soon either. Would you rather control the press or get your candidate for president elected with a minority vote (twice in 5 elections)? Which is more valuable? Which one allows you to game the system and still come out on top?

Thanks for the clarification. Btw, your buddy Glen still has me classified as a "baby rapist and a crack smoker". Is he not the local affiliate of Alex Jones by default? You still vouch for "what a great guy he is"?
