Is there some reason we can't be civil in this part of the forum? And discuss music? Or is this a set aside for rudeness and incivility. I'm tired of it. Name calling turns me off. I don't care what your politics are, I care about manners.

I hereby take a solemn oath that I will not call anyone an unflattering name, nor will i use terms like "libtards" or anything that might construed offensive by those who i disagree with when talking politics w those of a different bent.

I doubt it. The best one can ever do is try to set an example. Those that can do better will have an example, those that can't will have shown themselves as beneath respect. When a child throws a tantrum, adults don't respond by descending to the same level.

We bust each others chops so much. If this was about MUSIC, and someone posted something good in general chat... That would be cool. Mark just did that a bit back with his explanation of modal scales. It was a very intelligent explanation of what appears to be a daunting lesson of music. Just explaining.
