2) If you are so knowledgable about the US Constitution, then you should realize that the 1st amendment (1st part of the Bill of Rights) states:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.


Maybe you need to go back and take some basic elementary school history lessons to understand that this country was founded by people who were persecuted for expressing their beliefs and religion.
