Too bad he was not "packing". In my opinion the so-called "Line" has already been long stepped over. I think the major problem is the stand down of the "police" and their overt failure to do their job and enforce the law.

"Packing" can get you into more trouble than not. Even if someone comes at you and you defend yourself you may end up fighting frivolous lawsuits by the relatives for years. We just got the stand your ground law passed here. Before that if someone broke into your house you were expected to climb out a window if necessary and let them rob you blind. Getting rid of the moronic demoncrap governor made it possible to get that self defense law passed. But you still will have to fight civil suits brought by little Johnny's survivors who would testify that little Johnny was an angel who never did a bad thing in his life.

Politicians don't give a crap about your rights but they sure as hell are concerned with the rights of invaders and criminals. Who cares if it takes the police 15- 20 minutes to get there when someone threatens your life? Politicians have armed body guards paid for by us, so why worry?

I have a carry permit but I seldom carry. When push comes to shove I would rather take a beating from a thug as opposed to a beating by the judicial system that most likely would ruin my life for years. However if it was a home invasion I would most likely act differently.

What gun control advocates don't realize, is that WE THE PEOPLE only look at guns as a self protection against an OUT OF CONTROL GOVERNMENT.
I think it is cool that you have a carry permit. I THINK IT IS EVEN COOLER THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE TREMENDOUS PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THAT!

I don't want to have to carry a gun, for self protection. I stated before the only reason I would even unload my pistols, would be an intruder walking in and blowing off a shotgun. JUST BREAKING INTO MY HOME AND THREATENING ME IS STILL NOT ENOUGH REASON TO BLOW YOUR ASSSSS WAY. I could be wrong on that, but I have been blessed not to be in that placed in that situation.

However on the other end of it... If this guy in the Texas church shooting, had not stepped up and taken care of the situation the government didn't... HOW MANY MORE WOULD BE DEAD?
I don't have the answers, but screaming liberals calling for disarmament scare me far worse.

The shiit the liberals don't understand is that weapons can be used two ways. What bothers me the most is when government says we will protect you.
