Betrayal! Trump grants amnesty to 125,000 illegals in 3 months

https://www.conservativereview.com/arti ... n-3-months

We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the Constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, five million. And how about all the millions that are waiting on line, going through the process legally? So unfair. ~ Donald Trump, August 31, 2016

Today, we have unveiled a real scandal in the Trump administration. And no, it has nothing to do with James Comey.

While much of the conservative media is consumed with Comey and Russia, they are missing the irony of defending an administration without even securing some key policy outcomes. The latest betrayal to the Right is the confirmation that Trump’s DHS has issued almost 125,000 “DACA” cards (per Obama’s unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals order) to illegal aliens through the second quarter of this fiscal year (January through March).

According to newly published data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Trump administration has issued 17,275 initial amnesty cards and over 107,500 renewals of existing status.

This surpasses the 122,000 level of amnesty cards issued during the final quarter of Obama’s presidency (Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2016), which means the Trump administration is not even slowing down the pace! And although the first 20 days of this quarter were still under Obama’s tenure, the Trump amnesty is likely close to 200,000 by now, when extrapolating in the number of presumed cards issued during April and May.

Thus, while Trump’s own lawful immigration order lies in ruins from tyrannical courts – with no effort to fight back through Congress – Obama’s patently unconstitutional DACA order remains in full force even after his presidency.

The jarring thing here is that Trump could fulfill a core campaign promise simply by refusing to renew existing DACA cards. We are not talking about a balanced budget or entitlement reform — just a simple display of inaction. Even Marco Rubio said the president should only decline to retroactively strip DACA, but should follow through with the promise not to renew the amnesty.

Granting work permits and Social Security cards to people who are here illegally is something even King George couldn’t do without British Parliament. A mere inaction could rectify this problem, yet Trump’s own DHS, led by Sec. John Kelly, is taking active steps to violate the Constitution. At this point, it has become Trump’s amnesty.

Keep in mind that the betrayal on Obama’s amnesty is in addition to the border wall being downright defunded and refugee resettlement being funded. Conservatives would be wise to raise Cain over this issue and stop making excuses.

At a committee hearing Wednesday, Sec. Kelly wouldn’t stop talking about “Dreamers” as if they are covered by a legitimate statute. He promised Democrats on Wednesday that he would not deport any “Dreamer” without a criminal record. This is lawless and, as I’ve noted before, very problematic for a number of reasons.

1. Welfare for illegals

Trump officials, and perhaps the president himself, don’t seem to understand what DACA is (much like some don’t understand what Obamacare actually is). That is why they are confused about repealing it.

Obama’s executive amnesty was not merely the suspension of deportations of certain classes of illegal aliens; it offered them benefits and affirmative legal status, with Social Security cards, work permits, and thousands of dollars in refundable tax credit welfare payments. In fact, well over 500,000 illegals had received Social Security cards by 2014 (more likely to be 800,000 by now).

According to a Congressional Research Service memo, illegal families could receive as much as $35,000 in retroactive EITC benefits the first year after being approved for Obama’s executive amnesty. This was all done without an act of Congress. Thus, to say we are not going to focus on deporting DACA recipients is a non-sequitur to the main problem of granting them affirmative benefits.

Even if we don’t deport large numbers of them, we should certainly not give them American benefits. Moreover, these funds could be used to build the wall.

2. Discretion vs. amnesty

There is one thing to use discretion to prioritize some enforcement actions over others; that is what every federal and state law enforcement agency does on a daily basis. It is quite another dynamic to actually publicly make a policy of de facto amnesty and legitimize and codify the supposed right of illegal immigrants to remain in the country contrary to our sovereignty laws.

Saying we are only focusing on criminal aliens is essentially Obama’s stated (albeit false) messaging.

3. “Dream” amnesty serves as a magnet

Agreeing to the false notion that children of illegal aliens have a right to demand legal status and that poor decisions of their parents and host countries are the fault of American taxpayers and workers runs contrary to everything Trump said during the campaign.

Furthermore, it encourages future waves of immigration at a time when Central Americans understand that once they come here with children, they are essentially here to stay. Trump promised to get rid of unqualified birthright citizenship for those born here to illegal immigrant parents. How could he then grant amnesty to those born in foreign countries?

And while Trump’s campaign rhetoric is still scaring off illegal aliens, thus resulting in an encouraging slowdown of border crossings, how long will that last once word gets out that he’s a paper tiger?

4. A king or a president?

Irrespective of one’s policy views on immigration, maintaining Obama’s illegal amnesty shreds our sovereignty and Constitution, and sets a terrible precedent. The executive amnesty was perhaps Obama’s most egregious act of imperialism, because it undermined the very foundation of our sovereignty.

In fact, giving rights to aliens is the quintessential example Alexander Hamilton used to contrast a president from a king. “[T]he one [a president] can confer no privileges whatever; the other [a king] can make denizens of aliens, noblemen of commoners; can erect corporations with all the rights incident to corporate bodies,” wrote Hamilton in Federalist No. 69.

There is no greater act of imperialism than for a president to unilaterally nullify our sovereignty and violate immigration statutes.

5. Trump hurting Arizona and states that want the rule of law

As we noted in February, the same courts that are engaging in civil disobedience and nullifying Trump’s common sense lawful immigration guidance are also demanding that Arizona offer driver’s licenses to recipients of Obama’s amnesty. They are treating Obama’s amnesty as a legitimate statute through which to force states to grant benefits to illegals.

During Trump’s hallmark Phoenix speech on immigration, he said the Grand Canyon State had a “very special place” in his heart. With the courts destroying state and national sovereignty, doesn’t he want to do his part to help Arizona — and certainly not burden them legally and politically with amnesty?

“Obama immigration order alive, Trump order dead” is not exactly the slogan we want Democrats chanting in 2018, but that is the end game unless the president acts immediately.

To quote candidate Trump, “we either have a country or we don’t have a country.”

The coming days will be very telling for many fervent Trump supporters whether this was about a cause or about flesh and blood.

Hey Gary... Do you want the job?

I certainly don't!

I realize how difficult this whole mess has become. How? Maybe because we had decades of lifetime politicians and leadership that flaunt the very law they are supposed to be protecting.

I get it. You don't like PRESIDENT TRUMP and you are climbing on the band wagon to criticize every thing he does..,

The reality is this mess is so huge that, no one person, may be able to straighten it out. Way to many cooks stirring the pot with many different recipes. Everyone up for dinner. Tonight it will be KRAP STEW.

Sad... That's why we still have guns... We don't know who the next assshole will be, that asks us to DRINK the KOOLAIDE!

I didn't write either of those articles, Glen. I repeated them as I heard them from a constitutional lawyer. One article was from a liberal rag, the other from a staunch conservative who knows what is going on. I didn't run for the job so don't give me that do you want the job crap.

Enough excuses for trump. He was made a hard left turn on his own period. DACA is a violation of the law and he wants to make it permanent. That was his decision. If he decided to make murder legal just because the left wants it I would still speak out against that also.

Illegal is illegal, president or citizen it does not matter. Both those articles depict how keeping DACA is akin to saying sneak into the country and you are home free. We do not need another Nixon for president. What trump does has nothing to do with anything other than making his own decision when the pen is in his hand. There is no gun held to his head. No excuses, all the excuses for him are simply based on the die hard trumper self denial. Left is left, leftist policies are leftist policies. This is not the art of the deal, this is the art of giving the deal away. He had leverage with the budget but he handed that over to the most deceitful dems that are in this gov. President schumer is ruling along with Vice president polosi, not trump.

trump may be a nice guy, but if he goes back on his main pledges that got him elected he is a rotten president. His pledge was to save jobs for American workers. Instead he is importing workers. His pledge was to build the wall, but he gave away the bargaining tool that could be used to fund that wall. He says he is repairing the wall. that is a bullshit cop out as the wall has always been under repair. His pledge was to send illegals back home. Instead he is going along with the phony sympathy ploy of the libs to legalize them. He promised tax cuts but from what I understand they won't end up being for those who he said would get them. He was going to cut government spending but instead proposed a trillion dollar increase. He is proposing getting rid of the cap on spending. He was going to drain the swamp. He hasn't even gotten rid of the obama holdovers. Instead he brought more alligators into the swamp.
He has done some good things but there are a lot of things that he is not doing that he promised. I applaud the good he has done, I will speak out against the bad. If pressure from the left is all it takes to get him to do the wrong thing he is not much of a president. At least for those who do not like the way government is ruling the citizens who elected them.

People are ignorant concerning DACA. I posted articles by people who know what will happen if trump uses DACA as a leaver to get something else he wants. It is NOT what we want. If DACA is made legal, then just what would the purpose of the wall be? Bridge the wall and get to stay in America free paid for by the American worker. Bridge the wall and get tons of free goodies at taxpayer expense. Continue DACA and break the economy of America by spending for schooling, medical expenses, housing, food assistance, giving away American jobs and everything else for those who contribute nothing and should not be allowed to stay here.

I do not look at trump through rose colored glasses. Some of what he is professing to do will put America further along the path of its demise. These invaders have more rights that you or I have, and trump is toying around with giving them even more rights over us. Even a con man is a nice friendly likeable guy as he steals your money.

Who is standing up for the American taxpayer that will have to pay for crooked politicians giving away their country? They are doing it right under our noses and if they play the sympathy card Americans are stupid enough and gullible enough to give the government con men a free pass. So have we deported all the illegal aliens? Have we reduced government spending? Even disaster relief was not paid for through budget cuts as it should have been, it was funded through increased taxation to future Americans, and why? Because trump buckled to the libs. How about hat wall. How about those American jobs being saved for American workers? The list goes on. These are decisions made by a president who gives in to the enemies of Americans. Personally I do not support excuses for bad decisions. Excuses are what politicians live by when they keep doing what is against the will of the people who elected them. Can you live by excuses and keep your job if you are going against your employers wishes? If not, then what is the difference?

I hope you either listed to the audio link or read both of those articles because they are telling us what is inevitable if we continue the way we are going, concerning the invaders who are bleeding America dry. I suppose it shouldn't bother us if politicians are giving away America. After all, we'll all be dead and gone, just like the senile old bastard politicians who are destroying America. They shall also be gone. Why should they care? They aren't destroying their America, they are destroying our children's America. And no one appears to give a rats-ass as long as it is done with excuses, a smile, and a bunch of never to be kept promises.

True, but legal and illegal are based on laws in effect at the time. The sale or possession of alcoholic beverages was legal for a long time, then it became illegal for a while, then the law was repealed and it became legal once again.

Any President is responsible for enforcing and executing the laws that Congress passes. The President can also urge Congress to pass or repeal laws. He just cannot legally for Congress to do so, aside from using political clout to persuade individual legislators.

If President Trump supports changing the immigration laws so as to enable illegal aliens to gain legal status, I would oppose that action. But, if such a change was part of a larger compromise agreement where in exchange for Congress enacting a more important piece of legislation, such as full funding of improved border security, I might come to accept such a compromise as a necessary part of making a deal. Politics is the art of the possible. Only a fool would fail to recognize the need for a tactical retreat on one part of the battlefield if needed to achieve and even larger tactical gain on the path to overall strategic victory.

Yes george, no need for the citizenship lesson. Before you went into kindergarten they were teaching that in high school, so I learned all about the Constitution and the three branches of government and their functions during citizenship class. After all, they did teach those things back then.

" True, but legal and illegal are based on laws in effect at the time. "

Just how stupid was that statement anyway? And just what does that mess of gobeldygook have to do with anything? The problem is that trump now wants to legalize DACA by replacing it with a law that is in essence the same as DACA and he is putting on the pressure to make that happen.

You missed my the point of my post completely.

Point #1 My point is that trump is pressuring the legislative branch to have a law that in essence is DACA with a different name.
Point #2 in my post were the opinions of two people who understand how Washington works and their prediction of what would happen if trump got his way. And I posted one article and gave reference to another in my post.

One article from a left leaning journalist who understands what letting these people remain means, and another article from a right leaning journalist with the same opinion. I agree with both of them as I have been on this earth long enough to understand crooked corrupt Washington DC. In the decade between when you and I were born a lot of things changed.
Point #3 trump ran on the platform of sending people who do not belong here home. He said he would not let illegals remain in America, and now he wants the legislative branch to make it so they illegals can remain in America.

" But, if such a change was part of a larger compromise agreement where in exchange for Congress enacting a more important piece of legislation, such as full funding of improved border security, I might come to accept such a compromise as a necessary part of making a deal. "

I beg to differ with that twisted logic. Selling out American taxpayers to make a deal for something else is not a deal, it is a betrayal. You don't sell Americans down the river by letting other people virtually take over their country no matter what you THINK YOU MAY get for it. THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT than letting American citizens retain their country, AND THEIR RULE OVER IT.
The governments has NO RIGHT TO BARTER with that which does not belong to them. This country belongs to the citizens, not the government. There is no "better deal" than letting taxpayers off the hook for supporting illegal aliens. We pay their medical expenses, we pay for their food, we assist them for housing, we pay for their education, we assist them in taking American workers jobs and much more. And to give that (the sovereign right of rule of our country) away for a "better deal" down the road is simply the insanity of a twisted mind.

I'm quoting your great words hoping they don't get twisted out of context.
"The governments has NO RIGHT TO BARTER with that which does not belong to them. This country belongs to the citizens, not the government. "

Every phucking politician, at every level, should keep that in mind.

I AM A LAW ABIDING FREE MAN, COMPLETLY WILLING TO ABIDE BY LAWS THAT A WILLING GOVERNMENT WITH LIMITATIONS ACCEPTS!

I'll make it simple. When you phuck with my freedom... Freedom that does NOT infringe on another mans FREEDOM...

In a representative republic, the people hold title to the property of the nation as a whole, but authority to manage that property is entrusted to the elected representatives of the people, aka "The Government". The government had the right to buy the Louisiana Purchase from France, to buy the American Southwest from Mexico, and to buy Alaska from Russia. The government had the right to give away much of the most desirable land to homesteaders through the various Homestead acts. I don't hear any of the tin foil hat crowd demanding that all the farmers in the Midwest who got their land by Homesteading it give the land back.

Again george I believe you are missing the point.

The point is that they not need not give away the physical land to actually give away America or rather take America away from the American citizen. That is the point. They are giving America away through giving all our rights as citizens to illegal aliens thus negating our say in what happens in OUR COUNTRY.

The government has no right to give away our country to illegal aliens and that is exactly what they are doing through this mass chain illegal alien invasion. Their goal is to take away the rights of American citizens through nullifying our votes with the votes of those who are here illegally. And that is the liberal agenda.

In some states illegals have already obtained the right to vote in city elections and county elections, soon they will get to vote in state elections and then in national elections. Then they can vote for those who wish not to have borders. The left is in fact importing voters to nullify the votes of those who want to get the establishment politicians out of office. They are buying the votes of illegals by bowing down to their every wish, against the wishes of the citizen. Those politicians who do not do their job by representing the American citizen are "replacing the American citizen" with those who will owe them favors when they do get to vote. Obvious to all the American citizen is ignored while every whim of the illegal is catered to.

In essence they are nullifying all the benefits of being an American citizens in order to place the populace of illegal alien and American citizens on equal ground, thus insuring their futures of remaining in the "swamp".

The American worker is being made a slave to the illegal alien. The American taxpayer is supporting them in almost every way with his wages, and that is the point.

"No, you are missing the point. Congress, and ONLY Congress, has the authority to pass laws regulating immigration. Obama's DACA order was an illegal executive order. As President, Obama lacked the legal authority to change immigration laws. President Trump has thrown the issue of immigration reform to Congress, where the Constitution says it belongs. Congress has the power and authority to change the law. The current batch of illegal aliens include some honest and hardworking people who would make a valuable contribution to our nation, and it includes thugs, thieves, and criminals along with lazy mooches sponging off the government. "

No I am not missing the point Georgy. Do you ever gain any understanding from speed reading? (Please do not answer that with a diatribe of wandering words as that was a rhetorical question) Didn't I say in a post above that trump is demanding that the legislative branch write a law in essence the same as DACA.? (Legislative branch = congress in case that is why you missed it) So why don't you quit "speed reading" and absorb some of what is written and quit posting all the irrelevant statistics in your pompous demeanor. (No do not answer. That was simply another rhetorical question)

And by all means stand up for the lawless who are either taking Americans jobs or getting taxpayer paid benefits simply for breaking our immigration laws. So they are nice people stealing from Americans. I understand that nice people do all manner of bad things. Who gives a rats-ass about someone who making a "valuable contribution to our nation" through taking Americans jobs or getting taxpayer paid benefits? Now isn't it simple to discern right from wrong when the problem is stated so simply? Do you have any idea of how hard it was for liberals to find those innocent kids for their sympathy ploy? Propaganda. Note that they did not mention the murderers, thieves, rapists, and drug dealers in their example, yet every one of them is a lawbreaker. Those leftists simply want them to invalidate your vote so they can remain in office to destroy this country. They want your citizenship status to be as nothing.

You claim you are/were a minister. So what do you think Jesus would say? I know what Jesus would tell them. He would tell them to quit taking work from the American workers and quit stealing from the taxpayers. And he would tell them to quit lying to the authorities about their immigration status. Then he would say to them, You are not to break the laws of this country, for the men who wrote those laws were appointed by God. Now go home and get in the back of the line of those who have patiently waited for years to come here legally. Now I would say that is pretty much in alignment with scriptural principles, don't you know?

georgy, when will you get off thinking everyone out here isn't as smart as you are? When will you quit bombarding them with statistics most often irrelevant to the topic at hand as you did with Glen and me just now ?

Georgy, I would venture to say that you have a problem. I believe that your problem began when your mommy told you that you were the always smartest kid around. But that's just a bare faced mommy lie, georgy. Every mother tells her kid that crap. It's just a line of mommy bull-shit. Even the retarded kid down the street gets that BS from his mommy. Truth be told you are not one of the smartest ones on the Internet or this forum for that matter. There are many out here as smart or smarter that you. Your mommy simply didn't know about them. Lesson. Never believe those mommy lies.

Shouldn't you be spending your time courting the first Honey Yod found for you . "She's a hotty!" And by the way, didn't your mommy teach you not to talk back to or disrespect your elders? :)

Well stated Glen. I think that whatever happens to Trump ... he will be considered a Good Man. If the Evil and the Stupid somehow succeed in impeaching him ... then he will become an Icon. If they assassinate him he will become a Martyr. If Civil War breaks then he will become a Hero and a galvanizing Force to be reckoned with. As long as he remains True then he will always be a Symbol of Freedom and Inspiration.

The Brown Turd wannabe Black Messiah will always be a Pretender, Traitor and Liar. The Hag will always be a Hag and it seems perhaps a source of amusement.
