I agree. That was way cool. I also liked the green Gumby guitar.

Last year I went to the Songbird Guitar Museum on Chattanooga TN. It was pretty cool - didn't have all the off beat stuff but I'd had no idea Fender and Gibson (and others) had so many variants.

Some beautiful instruments but I was horrified by the Firebirds that just had necks bolted on.

But the T-Bird bass guitars were something to see. The curator was a master of detail and anecdote.

I didn't recognize any of them. I only recently discovered they made an Explorer Bass.
