The notion that Hitler learned anything—anything at all—from the Democratic Party here in the U.S. seems, on the face of it, surprising if not incredible. In reality, Hitler learned a great deal from the Democrats and from American progressives. He got some of his core policy strategies from them. Moreover, progressives of the time recognized their influence on Hitler and were proud of that fact.

Are you some sort of ignoramus? Who looses? The respected author of the well researched article that the link refers to?

Look up "Godwin's Law".

I don't need to look it up I already know what Godwins law is, but this is about an article showing the relationship of the American left to Hitler way back then and how Hitler applied their ideas to his rule.

This thread isn't or wasn't necessarily about opening a discussion thread about the book. It was posted for information to those who wish to be informed and understand the nature of their political enemies.

The "You Lose" statement is something an ignorant juvenile would say. In your wild imagination are we in some sort of contest? Really?

And just how does Godwins law apply to a thread that begins with a discussion of Hitler? In your wild imagination does a thread about Hitler gravitate to a more Hitler thread somehow? (God help me understand the logic in that) It should be obvious to one that a thread about Hitler is outside of Godwins law because (for your understanding) a thread about Hitler can not morph into a thread about Hitler, right? . Why? Clue: Because it was already a thread about Hitler from the beginning.

Lord give me understanding concerning the logic of the illogical. Amen. :) :) :)

Except when they are right, it doesn't matter whether you respect or admire them.

I'm part of a church in Germany and go there twice a year since 2006. I can sing an entire set in Deutch and have played in almost every state of the nation, with thousands of friends/fans there.

The Germans told me long ago that Hitler admired Franklin Roosevelt and copied him for the Nazi work program that got Germany back on the road to prosperity after WW1.

Many years ago they also told me that Hitler studied Andrew Jackson's "final solution" of American Indians and copied it for his own plans for the Jews

Both are staples of the Democrat Party and heroes to American Leftists.

The Progressive Movement of the 1920s was born with eugenics and is the genesis of fascism, marxism, and socialism. They are all connected at the root.

Listen to Yod georgey, you might learn something.

"This thread skips all the foreplay and goes straight to the punchline"

Lame, bro, lame.

It's not Godwins law if a thread does not gravitate to the subject from another topic , as that is the very definition of Godwins law.

Any discussion between parties always will eventually get to the nature and origins of their principles through example. You could say the same about slavery if a discussion of liberals and conservatives was extended, or any number of other negative examples may arise as a reference concerning a parties historical foundations.

I always find it entertaining when someone considers an assessment of the obvious to be brilliant. :)
