Oh man George...
Even just walking into a hospital is the most disease filled things you could do.
I lost 15 customers because they went in for simple PROCEDURES and came out with something worse. Mind you they were older...
I wish you the best... I don't even know you... But I don't want anyone hurting...

You should get that taken care of since it's that simple.


This is just my opinion....but hospitals are where people go to die

Don't recommend this approach for everyone, but I haven't been to a doctor for a check up in about 30 years. It's their job to find something wrong, and with the litigious society we live in (paid for with insurance) they have to run a million tests to avoid liability when saying that you're doing just fine.

So when I go it will probably be from something that was there for a long time unchecked. Hope it's fast, because I have another home to go to.

That said, I'm about to take a position with health care insurance and I'm sure they will want to give me a check up.

isn't it interesting that the dozen or so regular participants here on BM are all in roughly the same age group? (i celebrated my 61st yr on the planet a cpl wks ago)

as we now find ourselves at that time in our lives when our bodies are starting to break down, we've come to the point in our lives when our health and those of our friends and bandmates is a big part of our regular day to day conversation!

i recently finished up PT dealing w surgery I had to remove some shattered bones in my feet but i'm on the mend and the slow rehab continues.

i'm typing while enjoying a late lunch, so I'll tip back my cold RANGER Imperial and drink a toast to everyone's health. luckily we're all a bunch of tough, old, grizzled bastards who will never take a dive and insist on going down swinging.

here's to the good health of all of us!

I was at the auto repair shop this morning and had a lengthy chat with an elderly black man who has been through the health ringer. We swapped health sob stories which I usually refrain from inflicting on folks. Nice fellow, it turned out we share the same religious beliefs and try to roll with the punches.

But the punchline was this, I'm referring to this dude as an 'elderly fellow' and it dawned on my as I typed that line, he was my age!

35 years of keeping a marriage promise...
I just did an AIR CONDITIONING job that required extensive WORK to make it WORK.

I have a 35 year old marriage promise. For better or worse... I am going to keep that promise. As I get older there are limitations. I DON'T FEEL LIKE HAVING SEX EVERY NIGHT! I'm over 60 and working my ass off to pay all the PHUCKING BILLS!

It would be so easy to plow some new fertile ground... THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I made a promise.
However, Vamp raised a very interesting point. I think he is going through some of the same stuff we all go through as we get older. SMILE!

Glen ... My problem is the exact opposite. I am the one demanding the sex and it is more than once a week. I will not get into this subject here at the moment but let me state that I have always been with younger women and I have always been the one "more interested in frequent sex". I am not bragging or anything like that. Only a couple of my girlfriends could ever keep up with my "keeping it up" ... if you know what I mean.

"she loves your little pig"... hmm... never heard it called that way before but it does seem appropriate. We have spoken of this situation before in that my Wife knows I prefer way more sex than she does. She has actually told me that if I encountered someone whom I fancied so to speak that as long as I was honest with her, then she would have no problem. The funny thing is that she knows I can not do something like that without actual "Love" involved ... so consequently thusfar nothing has ever come of it.

A couple years ago we were walking down the street and a car with a couple girls slowed and as it passed, one of them yelled out the window in Spanish. This pissed off my Wife and I asked her what the girl said ... she replied ... "If you will not give him a son then I will". Quite often I am being propositioned by girls and even guys ... Mexicans. Amanda and I just laugh ... we have been married for 11 years.

Often we go out to a Night Club here in "The Mirador" called Elixir. We dance and have a good time. The Owner knows us and we never pay entrance and we get staff discount on our drinks. The Head Bartender used to work for Amanda when she managed Beach Bum so he looks out for us regardless. Usually we go with a couple of friends ... 20 something girls Amanda knows.

One night we got there earlier than usual and there were not very many people there. Amanda was dancing with one of the girls we came with and this rather cute young girl came up to me and asked me if I wanted to do a "Body shot" on her. I said no thanks and she said that she would pay for "them". I told her that I do not really do that sort of thing so then she said no one had ever refused her before and threw her arms around me and gave me a rather intense kiss ... wonderful. After that under the watchful eye of Amanda I told her that I was married to that girl over there. She said oh and went over and told Amanda what had happened and that she "wanted" me. Amanda smiled and said ask him.

The girl next came over to me and related what was said puncuated by yet another more urgent kiss. I told her that before I ever engage in anything I prefer to know a bit about someone. She would not go away and asked if I wanted to go to her place etc. Amanda took a break and "rescued" me. We bought the girl a drink and talked for a bit, then the girl left. I have never seen her since ... about 6 months ago. On occasion both of us "rescue" the other. Obviously occasionally either of us get "chatted up". It has never gotten out of hand except once...

Elixir has three floors and two places with music and DJ's. Amanda often cruises around with her friends to check out the music etc. I usually stay in one place and enjoy "watching" not exactly like Peter Sellers in "Being There" but more like observing the girls dance ... and believe me some of them can "dance". I noticed Amanda return with her friend and they went to the bar so I walked over and Amanda was a bit shaken and said that the guy on her other side at the Bar was getting out of control. I asked her what happened and she said that he noticed her in the other Bar and followed her to the Loo where he waited and when she came out he grapped her arm and said you are coming with me. She pushed him away and said piss off but he kept at it so she and her friend just came back and went to the Bar to get another drink when the guy came up to her and was actually trying to touch her and turn her around. He was not interested in her girlfriend it seemed.

When I was told he was trying to grap her as she spoke to me then I went around and inserted myself between them. He was a bit taller and well dressed and " a Refugee". I thought that figured. He told me to get out of the way in not bad English. I poked my finger into his chest hard, pushing him backwards and telling him he had to leave NOW. He said He did not and would not and came at me . I punched him in the chest ... you know where ... and he staggered back gasping. By this time the bouncers were on him and they had seen everything so he was "ejected".

Oddly enough it seems he had come with "friends" and they were on the other two floors going "Refugee" on girls. They recieved the same treatment from the Mexicans who were with the girls and the bouncers. All three of these altercations happened at roughly the same time. All the "Refugees were ejected and everyone was told to fnish their drinks and leave ... they shut down in about 15 minutes and way early.

Since then there has been no trouble .... and no "Refugees". Knowing how things are in Mexico I must say that any "Refugees" here will not be greeted with kisses and roses and given money and free stuff. And if they try their "cultural activities" here then the Mexicans will "go Templar" on their bleedin asses.

HHHUUUUMMM.

Getting old isn't for sissies.
