damn, they're dropping off left and right!

MW, drummer/percussionist/vclst was a founding member of Earth, Wind, and Fire. i was introduced to him thru my father's record collection....MW used to play w The Ramsey Lewis Trio and dad had a copy of "Dancin' In The Streets" that i wore out as a kid.

i saw ramsey about a yr ago and he autographed that album for me.

Jaco...aka John Francis Pastorius. I remember well when he died. I was informed by a bandmate at a prct that very day.

i 'spect this is gonna be more and more a commonplace occurrence, seeing musicians we grew up listening to and admiring shuffling off the mortal coil. everything that exists in time runs out of time someday.

YOW! i'm listening to that now as i'm typing...wow, that is BADASS!!! i wasn't hip to this, so once again let me say thanks for turning me on to something great! i love the bassplayer's tone....flatwounds played w (what sounds like) a pick.
