Trump called for the immediate stop INTO AMERICA by muslim pilgrims. UNTIL a GOVERNMENT that is supposed to PROTECT the PEOPLE of AMERICA has chance to sort all these attacks out.
As an AMERICAN CITIZEN that seems reasonable. Why let a man in your front door that may want to KILL YOU!

Well the biggest problem with all this sh*t is the people we have elected. FORGET what the liberal left has said. The Republican right is so screwed up they are being ridiculous. The MEDIA? Totally out of touch. FOX NEWS, YOU GUYS ARE WORTHLESS.

None of these people have any AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, UNTIL THEY BECOME CITIZENS!
Everyone is screaming this is a violation of their AMERICAN RIGHTS...
For sure, America is in deep trouble.

I was a machinist for 8 years. If I started seeing a bad finish on a part, I had to stop, figure out what was wrong and fix it before I could continue. Can't hand a customer bad parts.

As a Carpenter, same thing., If we hung a door and it wouldn't close, we had to stop and figure out why before we hung any more doors. Can't have a house with a half dozen doors that won't close right.

Why should we handle immigration any different? Trump is right. we have a problem, we have to stop, on a temporary basis, figure out what is wrong and fix it, before we bring more bad people into this country.

Boston Marathon bombers, this couple in San Bernardino, Ft Hood shooter...we have a problem, and some really bad people are getting into the country. Time to stop, take a close look at things and fix the problem before it gets a lot worse. We already have illegal immigrants committing thousands of crimes along southern border states, something over 50,000 in the past couple of years, over 70 people arrested due to affiliations with ISIS and 1000 under investigation...

It should be a no brainer. Time to stop, look around and assess the situation. Like Trump or not, he's right, there is no reason whatsoever we should continue to take people into this country when we know the most vicious terrorist group in the world is mixing their people in along with the refugees, and previous legal immigrants have slipped past existing background checks.

And if Jeb Bush wants to see someone "unhinged", he should look in the mirror...

SHEET, all I see up here are bunch of screaming wimps calling for big government to protect their sorry assses.

I don't need it. I don't want it. I don't endorse any of liberal ideals that encourage socialism at the expense of stifling society by turning it all over to the rule of law. Law that is NO longer stable and valuable. (the values of a republic)

So... We are left with a government unable to truly protect the truly needy.

yeah, glen we DO get your views on that!

Law that is NO longer stable and valuable. (the values of a republic)

who says it has to be UNstable and w/o value???? that's you projecting your views and projecting what you think things would look like.

So... We are left with a government unable to truly protect the truly needy.

you're kidding right???? you think the gov't is NOW taking care of truly needly? :? wake up.

it ain't. but any talk of doing anything to ACTUALLY help those in need raises your paranoia flag about dat old debil and ebil socialism!!!!

so, what do you think it is when the gov't sponsors soup kitchens or programs for our vets? by the way you define helping those in need....those would qualify as your feared "socialism".

do you wanna get rid of those evil "socialist" programs too? after all...no one asked you if you wanted to go in your pocket to help pay for 'em.

Since you are raising questions in a reasonable way...
First the law has become unstable. What was reasonable last year was changed this year. In example are so many things but I will just pick on one. Corporations moving overseas because they can not be certain of laws changing in a manner that can be accounted for. On a small town like level, registration fees for rental property suddenly go from $50 to $500. I could fill up this page with this shiit, including making an AR-15 SAFER by making it against the law to own one with pistol grip.

As far as our Vets... The help from our government to support them has been pitiful.

As far as the needy and poor... Our giant government falls way short of being able protect them and raise them up.
Why? Because it guarantees some dumbass politician will have a job in control of the ever changing law... To stand up and say vote for me, see how well big government is protecting you.

I do have to say it seems, you are actually starting to say, what I am. But way beyond that I do appreciate any one that will bring up reasonable debate, way beyond some one that only thinks personal attacks are amusing.

It's too late. Those with evil intent all ready here are now just sleeping, awaiting the call. Those en mass now trying to migrate to our shores, if hindered from doing so,.. cannot and will not return to where they came from, which by deliberation, can only intentionally magnify the problem where they are now left permanently. The global plan they abide by is simple. To eventually outnumber and dominate.
Integrate. How can anyone integrate with those whose religious indoctrination from birth forbids any integration with non believers.Time will pass and the multitude whose refusal to integrate because of their faith..will naturally grow, increasing in number and then what?Every country is now being overwhelmed by the mass migration and slowly outnumbering with more to follow.By destabilising everything through radicalisation and their religious fervour. Those few that may object are fear full to do so publicly.Sooner or later the bubble of discontent created will burst, and time is on their side too.If a nuclear bomb is ignited in Israel would they then be pacified? Would the allies of Israel just stand by or now come to its aid? ?...if this genocide did occur, your own country is now facing anarchy on its streets too.The sleepers will now awaken simultaneously. An army can only be in 1 place at a time.A police force is still too few in number to police everywhere. The outcome is becoming obvious.

Glen

I turned my musical into book and realized I couldn't just connect blank spots with songs. So I started with a premise: How could the state of Georgia survive a zombie apocalypse and the reset of the country is pretty much gone.

Having finished the first book in the series I've learned a lot and not all of it good. My protagonists include the libertarian governor (I can dream). The problem? How can she remain true to any sort of values when survival is really the only issue that matters.

When everybody has guns. They have to. However, everybody has PTSD as well. Oops...what to do about that eh?

I won't bore you with a lot of the details but ultimately I've come to realize that 'freedom' as we know it, is very precious and very rare. And very hard to keep - regardless if the govt is left, right or whatever...and regardless if that govt's actions are made for reasons good, bad or indifferent. There are certain dynamics at work and they always work against freedom.

I will admit that has depressed me a little but made me a bit calmer too I think.
