Humor is a process of wit. While ridicule can be humorous in small doses, when its all you have then it's just crude people being small. Only the strident partisans employ it.

I commend Dr Carson for having the foresight and wisdom to visit Israel and see the situation for himself. Mark doesn't seem to realize that the DNC is creating an atmosphere that will cause all Jews to run for their lives, going home to Israel in the near future, as prophecies foretold thousands of years ago.

tell ya what...when i see racist cartoons, placards, and billboards like these below about Carson....i'll call "racism" just as quick as when i see it pointed at Obama or anyone else.

tell me, have you seen any of this TRULY racist stuff pointed at Carson??? nah. i know I haven't. so, get back to me then.

show me anything that approaches that level of bigotry and i'll readily condemn it whether the target is a dem or repub. ( not that i saw you or any of the other Obama haters here condemn the below).

it's hardly the only thing available to refute the views and policies of the right. i will admit that the fact that it bugs you neo cons so much does make it a delicious dish. and it does cut both ways (as you so love to point out, ted)...you guys and the talk show hate mongers constantly ridicule that which you don't agree w from the left.

the difference as i see it is the right just provides more material! just sticking to Carson ....

1. knife wielding exploits
2. suggesting moving Palestinians from what they consider their homeland
3. Pyramid grain storage
4. pointing a stickup man away from himself to suggest they turn their attention to the counterman

let's be clear (and honest), Carson isn't ridiculed "for being decent people".

he's ridiculed for his wacky views, his misunderstanding of the israeli/palestinian situation, and his malapropisms. you say he's a decent person. maybe yes, maybe no. i've heard too much from him blaming people for being in their current situation to give him a thumbs up on him being "decent person".....but then again he is trying to appeal to mentality of those who like to blame everyone who's having a hard time of it on themselves. do "decent people" do that? did jesus place blame on those worse off than others on themselves?

First of all, Ben Carson already has a MUCH better handle on terrorism, Islam, Iran, and the middle east situation than Obama has gained in 8 years. Obama and Hillary stupidity (or treason) is the reason for all the instability in the world today.

It would be real easy to ridicule every policy of Obama and Hillary because they've all failed. They, like every person on the planet, have said MANY stupid things. The only difference is that Leftist media gives them a pass and (most on) the Right don't engage in ridicule as their first tool of discussion.

I could ridicule the stupidity of the Left day and night. "Neocons" start with an attempt to discuss/debate/address facts and policy, but as typical, our counter-parts on the Left make it clear they aren't interested in finding the truth of a matter...and aren't able to discuss reality anyway...so it then devolves into a spitball fight.

I readily admit too many on the Right have fallen for the distraction of ridicule and that ridiculousness. It's frustrating that the liars are given cover by folks who aren't even paying attention, and don't want to know the truth. It is so much easier to ridicule the things they are ignorant of.

But Carson is a decent man who has never stooped to that level. IF you could find one example of him ridiculing someone, I'd give you a few dozen of Obama being a crude partisan jerk in a single speech.

Will you show a speck of intellectual honesty and admit that if the reverse were done (conservative ridiculing Obama over his manner of speech) that you would be screaming "racist" at them?

There is plenty of evidence already, so it's just a matter of honesty now. How do you justify such hypocrisy??

sorry, that's a swing and a miss. if Obama repeatedly referred to Hamas as "hummus" (and while addressing a group of Jewish possible supporters no less) and someone made fun of him for doing so....i would NOT have a knee jerk reaction and call that person a racist based on that alone.

No, it's never turned into a major news story on every network when Obama says something really stupid (almost every day lately) and lies about important subjects that are eroding America daily. We still haven't heard them report on all the lies Hillary has told, not to mention the really stupid ones.
