As the nations of Europe attempt to deal with the recent and ongoing massive influx of Muslim refugees, many of whom refuse to assimilate, there has been quite a bit of culture shock.
Most notable are concerns over rampant pedophilia in the refugee camps and the Islamic tradition ofyears old.
According to the U.K.’s Express, concern has been raised in the Netherlands about the child brides being brought to the country and a loophole in the laws that allow the young girls to remain with their adult husbands.
At the heart of the issue is the story of a Syrian girl named Fatema Alkasem, a pregnant 14-year-old who recently disappeared from an asylum center with her 24-year-old husband.
With at least 20 child brides between the ages of 13 and 15 in Dutch asylum centers, concerns have been raised by some due to the girls falling beneath the Dutch age of consent, which is 16.
However, the refugees who bring their child brides with them have been exploiting a loophole that allows a marriage to be recognized in the Netherlands if it is officially registered in the refugee’s home country.
A 12-year-old girl with a 40-year-old man that is not a marriage, that is abuse, declared Dutch MP Attje Kuiken. We’re talking about really young children, girls 12, 13 years old. I want to protect these children.
The Dutch government intends to amend its laws in December to only recognize marriages between two individuals that are 18 years of age or older , but Kuiken is pushing for action sooner.
The government should take them into foster care and protect them, because before the new law comes into force, they can still be subject to abuse, she said.
This is just one of the many problems European nations are facing in dealing with the invasion of mostly Muslim men across their borders, many of whom are potential jihadists or welfare state leeches, and it will likely get worse before it gets better.
The nations of Europe would be wise to stop bowing to Islamic Shariah law and Muslim traditions that violate the sensibilities and moral values of Western civilization, lest they succumb to being little more than dhimmi nations subservient to their Islamic masters.
