Speaking on Fox News’ Fox & Friends, Carson made an unfortunate statement. When asked what he would have done had a gunman walked up to him and asked him to state his religion, Carson said he would have been more aggressive.

“Not only would I probably not cooperate with him, I would not just stand there and let him shoot me. I would say, ‘Hey guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can’t get us all,'” he told the hosts.

From the safety of a television studio, Carson decided to criticize the behavior of a human being with a gun pointed at them, their lives flashing in front of their eyes. It is part of a pattern of Carson’s, making callous and cruel statements about the lives of others.

Carson also used the opportunity to attack President Obama for continuing to support gun reform legislation, whining, “When do we get to the point where we have people who actually want to solve our problems rather than just politicize everything? I think that’s what the American people are so sick and tired of.”

In the past, Carson has compared gay people to pedophiles, said prison could make you gay, said gay marriage would collapse American society, called for drone strikes at the southern border, and argued that a Muslim should not become President of the United States.

When confronted on thee topics, Carson has often claimed he was misquoted or taken out of context, repeatedly blaming the media and the “politically correct” for twisting his words, rather than taking ownership for what he has said and done.

For all this, it hasn’t hurt Carson’s political aspirations. If anything, it has helped, as he is now in the top tier of Republican presidential contenders, despite his problem with acknowledging reality or expressing basic human compassion. It appears to be a feature of his, not a bug.

Unlike Condoleeza Rice who has a Chevron oil tanker named in her honor.
Something that shows that she really has America's best interests at heart.

actually, you holding up Kit Carson as a hero shows YOU to be the "racist".

it's sad (but typical) that you would sanction and approve of him trying to exterminate the Navajo. really, who condones THAT...but a "racist"?
