Getting out from under the shadow of a series of sting videos won't be as easy as Planned Parenthood thought it would be.

The abortion and clinical health care provider has been focusing on suing and generally besmirching the character of the Center for Medical Progress, which published the videos that show Planned Parenthood officials apparently haggling over the price of tissue samples and body parts from aborted children.



The videos have certainly damaged the organization's carefully crafted PR image as a socially acceptable provider of women's health care.

Unfortunately for Planned Parenthood and its supporters, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is taking the videos much more seriously than the mainstream media and the Left in general are.

The committee on Friday sent Cecile Richards, the president of Planned Parenthood, a letter demanding she turn over seven key types of documents, covering the past five years, before the end of the month.

PlannedParenthoodLetter1The last request is a zinger, asking Planned Parenthood to identify "what procedures, services, or other medical treatments are available only or exclusively at a Planned Parenthood affiliate or health center that are covered by either a state’s Medicaid program or a health plan sold via a state exchange or HealthCare.gov under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."

Since Planned Parenthood supporters often characterize any questioning of abortion as an attack on "women's health care," that last question is essentially asking the organization to justify its existence if it's going to downplay its role as the nation's leading abortion provider.

The organization has recently been challenged on claims that it provides services to poor women that they can't get elsewhere. A study by the Alliance Defending Freedom and the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that nationally, there are 20 comprehensive women's health care clinics for every Planned Parenthood.

If Planned Parenthood were defunded, the money could simply be channeled to a legitimate women's health care institution that doesn't peddle abortion.

That would be a step in the right direction.

Since Obamacare now funds women's health services, PP has become redundant, but don't count them out. They are perhaps the largest lobbying special interest in America and own a majority of politicians on both sides of the isle.

Special interest = corrupt government. Corrupt government = special interest.

The unborn population of Hiroshima is being systematically exterminated every year (327,000) and their body parts are being illegally sold off for profit while we smile and clink our glasses. This is just the latest twist on female infanticide as practiced by the Romans and Chinese for centuries and is a dark stain on our "enlightened society". As a society we have decided that many of our children are simply an inconvenient burden that should be extracted like a bad tooth. We have come a long way as a civilization but still have many miles to go.

You can buy into the propaganda blitz by of one of the most influential politically backed corporations in America or you can search out the truth. The truth, as always, is well hidden by Pravda who were threatened to keep quiet about the facts revealed in those videos. You have to search on depth to find truth in the world of lies propagated by Google and other Leftist supporting "news" outlets.

PP forced the leftist regime news media not to represent the facts of the videos and to lie about them. All the leftist Pravda media fell into line under PP's threats and about all you can find about what is really going on is well hidden by the special interest group. When you count handing out a condom as a service with no more attention than performing an abortion naturally the percentages gets twisted in their favor. The truth is that all other services other than abortion are already covered through Mendelecare.

Planned Parenthood’s Great Big Enormous 3% Lie

A woman walks into a Planned Parenthood clinic wanting to know if she’s pregnant, and if she is, can she get an abortion.

She may receive a number of services including a pregnancy test, an RH Type test, an ultrasound, an antibiotic, some birth control pills, the morning after pill, and “other tests as needed”—oh yes, and an abortion.

Note that all these “services” are directly related to just one patient getting an abortion. Yet, Planned Parenthood counts the abortion as only one service among 8 or more. When Planned Parenthood repeatedly claims that their abortion business is only 3 percent of their total activities, this is how they arrive at it:

They count a $300 abortion, or a $500 abortion, or a $1000 abortion in the exact same way they count a receptionist handing a condom to walk-in.

The 3 percent number is getting a strenuous new workout with the release of, so far, five videos showing Planned Parenthood medical personnel alternately picking through fetal body parts with tweezers and negotiating to sell them for a profit.

In Wednesday morning’s paper, a Washington Post reporter, specializing in “race, gender, immigration and inequality,” provided the latest unblinking recapitulation of Planned Parenthood’s easily debunkable claim.

Janell Ross reports, “All told, abortions comprise about 3 percent of all the services Planned Parenthood provides, according to the organization’s own data.” The key phrase in this and all other reports on this is “according to the organization’s own data.” Reporters tend to look no further than Planned Parenthood’s own assurances.

It is fairly easy to look behind the claim, however, and do it using “the organization’s own data.”

Planned Parenthood arrives at this percentage by dividing 330,000 annual abortions into 11,000,000 annual “services.” All “services” are therefore equal.

According to Jeanneane Maxon of Americans United for Life, Planned Parenthood’s annual report shows 12 percent of their patients are there for an abortion. That is derived at by dividing 327,000 annual abortions by 2,700,000 annual patients. But that doesn’t even begin to tell the whole story because each of those patients receives multiple services directly related to the abortion. But even more than that, an abortion is the most expensive service Planned Parenthood provides.

According to Planned Parenthood’s own figures, they provide somewhere north of 320,000 abortions a year, that’s a third of all abortions performed in the United States. Again, according to their own numbers, a surgical abortion in the first trimester costs between $300 and $950. A chemical abortion costs between $300 and $800. Taking the lowest possible price for all 320,000 abortions, Planned Parenthood made $96 million a year on abortions alone. But that number is certainly much higher. This is not a trivial number, as the oft-repeated 3 percent is meant to imply.

The other big fib that Planned Parenthood leads with, and one that is endlessly repeated by their friends in the media, is that if Planned Parenthood is defunded, where will all those women go for their mammograms? Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards says this wherever she goes.

Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms. Lila Rose of LiveAction showed this by having people call dozens of Planned Parenthood facilities asked for a mammogram and being told every single time, “No, we don’t do mammograms” and then being directed to a local clinic that does.

No one has to take Lila Rose’s word for it though, according to a dossier prepared by Americans United for Life, “As recently as 2012, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed that no Planned Parenthood clinic is authorized to perform mammograms.”

As to the other services that might have to end were Planned Parenthood to lose federal funding, poor women can look to the thousands of Title X clinics in every state and in every major city. What’s more, some wonder why Planned Parenthood is needed at all with the advent of Obamacare because all these services, including contraceptives and abortion, are covered.

The good news for pro-lifers is that the vote in the Senate shows an increase in Senate interest in defunding the abortion giant. Professor Michael New points out that a similar vote was taken four years ago and then only 42 Republicans voted in favor and not a single Democrat. On Monday night, though the vote failed, a majority voted in favor, including 51 from the GOP this time as well as two Democrats.

It very well could be that Planned Parenthood’s lies are catching up with them.

The fetus (Baby) is NOT a part of the womans body that is aborted, it is an individual with it's own DNA unlike either the mothers or the fathers DNA alone. This baby has the DNA of both parents, It has it's own individual DNA identity unlike any other, with the exception of it being an identical twin.

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is the genetic material found in the cells of your body. A person receives half of his/her genetic material, or DNA, from the biological mother and the other half from the biological father. Therefore it is an individual from conception.

This ensures that families maintain some genetic identity, but also that a child must be genetically different from either parent, or from any of their four grandparents. They will also be genetically different from their brothers and sisters unless they have an identical twin.

So it is NOT a part of the womans own body, it is a baby with its own genetic identity and therefore a separate individual. I am also aware of the fact that PP is a tool of the left instituted by Margaret Sanger to get rid of the black population. The left supports it because they are still at war with the black man., why else would they support it? PP is in fact working quite well as there are more black babies aborted than born.

Why do I care? I care because it is an innocent human life that is being taken. I also care because these similar dehumanizing tactics were used by the Nazis to desensitize the citizens of Germany so that they could begin their genocide of the Jew without conscience.

First you desensitize the population as to their being human, making them sub human, and then you are free to murder them. It is the devaluing of human life within a depraved society. First the babies, then the dissenters and the elderly and last but not least, rrid the world of the useless eaters.

If you want to say that the infant is her "property" then you might have a case, based on the Dred-Scott decision that allows one person to be the property of another. Oddly that Supreme Court case ruling on slavery 150+ years ago was cited as justification in the recent gay marriage decision also. Yea...why not pile more horrible legal decisions on top of horrible law? (sarcasm)

But it is factually and scientifically incorrect to say it is her "body" because it has a different heartbeat and a separate DNA......but you know that already and refuse to see.

Cajun, when you say "our children" who are you referring to? The last I heard the mother is the only one who can say that. No, an unborn child is the mother's, and only the mother's property, at least until the fetus is mature enough to live outside its mother's womb. Yep, the pro abortion stance is that unborn children are less than human. Inconvenient tissue of no consequence just like a bad tooth. I am keenly aware of this. For a long time I was one of the college educated, militant, pro abortion folk and I staunchly defended women's right to choose to do whatever they wish with something growing inside of them. I had all the talking points down and could debate anyone on the legal and biological issues. I was wrong.

Once I had kids of my own I looked into their innocent faces and asked myself "what are we doing?" These amazing little people are completely dependent on us for protection and as a society we are tossing them out with the trash... or worse. A barbaric stain on our society.

Throughout history, any time some one or some thing was labelled "less than human" it opened the door and justified atrocities. Native Americans, the Irish, Armenians, the Jews of Europe, African slaves, infant females, and now the unborn. Who will be next?
